Business Response to the Complaint We are disappointed that a consignor has chosen to take this action to file such a complaintWe are offended by the charges that we are anything but completely honest and forthright with our clientsWe value our relationships with our consignors, and the good
name and reputation we have developed over the years we have been in business in Cross LanesSince we opened our doors we have had thousands of consignors trust us with their merchandiseA large number have been with us for several yearsWe would have nothing to gain by not placing items for sale on the sales floorOur desire would be that every item consigned is sold, but we have little control over what the shoppers actually want to purchaseEveryone that consigns with us understands and agrees upfront that items that do not sell are eventually donated to a local charityWe currently donate most of the unsold items to the *** *** *** The consignor filing this complaint, has done business with us for over two years with no prior complaintsIf the consignor visited the shop several times and was concerned that she didn't see her items wouldn't it have been better to mention it at that time rather than several months later when the unsold items have likely cycled throughWe can only pay consignors for items that have soldIn this instance, as in all instances, that is exactly what we have done
