The complaint at hand is not a true complaint , but a misunderstanding of how water movement through the property is dealt withThe client wanted water to go away from the house, due to her fear of the basement having future water issuesDuring the regarding of the backyard a slope of 3% was given to the entire backyard, away from the homeDuring this time we also added gutter downspout pop-ups to the back guttersThis also allows water to be guided further out into the yard for further basement protectionThe misunderstood part from the client is the drainage swale that runs from the downspout pto the south side of the property (Street side) This allows for any of the water to be caught in the swale line and guided away from the foundation, as well as neighborsWhen it rains, the rainwater from the roof as well as the yard is collected and dispersed in this area, making it seem as if it is floodedHowever it is not
