I opened an account when I arrived in the Warner Robins areaAfter being there for months I had to deploy to AfghanistanI closed my account and paid off everything that I owedAs I don't get my mail promptly, I received a letter from Robins FCU stating I owed money for my accountUmmm didn't I closed my account and why in the world do I owe money if I closed itNow it's been reported to the credit bureau that I have a delinquent accountJust lowered my credit score and ruined my reportHorrible Horrible service!!
I have been a member of Robins Federal Credit Union for 10 plus years. I have financed autos with them in the past and currently have my house mortgage with them.
Today [redacted] I went into to the [redacted] Ga. branch to deposit a check from a settlement. The teller, [redacted] informed me that she would have to hold the check until it cleared. I asked her why was that. She informed me that since I didn't have enough money in my account to cover it that they would have to hold it.
What? I wanted to deposit it, not cash it.
I then told her that I would take it to [redacted] and cash it and bring the cash back, which is what I did. Where is the customer service? Not at Robins!
I'm 19 years old and opened an account with Robin's FCU when I was 17. I've always had outstanding service from them and the limited refunds they offer per year don't seem like much but when you're in need they save a life in a way. I'm in between jobs and have to wait a month to start my new job. My account was overdrawn by not too much from a few normal teenager expenses, and of course there's a fee, but thankfully they offer 2 overdraw refunds per year. I was down to a few cents until Robin's deposited a refund for my overdraw charges and I'm able to eat until I start my new job. Thank you for the great services!
