Consolidated Time Services Reviews (3)

Last summer, I inherited a grandmother clock that my father built and has been in operation in my parent's home for years When I put it in my home, I discovered that the clock did not operate properly when the second hand was installedI contacted Consolidated Tme Srvices and asked to have it corrected A man, who I believe is the owner, picked up the clock, telling me it would take approximately weeks and no more than $to repair I did not hear from him again until I called him several weeks later and the repair had not been completed Ater numerous phone calls, several more attempts to repair, and more than $later, the clock still does not operate with the second handAfter speaking with my father on the subject, he informed me that what we believed was a second hand, was actually a moon dial, and that they never used it because the clock did not oprate with it installed Other than that, the clock kept perfect time, (and still does without the moon dial attached) It is clear to us that Consolidated Time Services had no idea what they were doing and that he tried to "fix" the clock using trial and error A very expensive learining experience for us Hopefully future potential customers will see this review and do a better job than we did in researching clock repair shops

Last summer, I inherited a grandmother clock that my father built and has been in operation in my parent's home for 40 years. When I put it in my home, I discovered that the clock did not operate properly when the second hand was installed. I contacted Consolidated Tme Srvices and asked to have it corrected. A man, who I believe is the owner, picked up the clock, telling me it would take approximately 2 weeks and no more than $400 to repair. I did not hear from him again until I called him several weeks later and the repair had not been completed. Ater numerous phone calls, several more attempts to repair, and more than $500 later, the clock still does not operate with the second hand. After speaking with my father on the subject, he informed me that what we believed was a second hand, was actually a moon dial, and that they never used it because the clock did not oprate with it installed. Other than that, the clock kept perfect time, (and still does without the moon dial attached). It is clear to us that Consolidated Time Services had no idea what they were doing and that he tried to "fix" the clock using trial and error. A very expensive learining experience for us. Billy Rice no longer owns this store on Lower Huntington Road.

I took in an antique wall clock that was running fine but no longer chimed. The new owner said it could take up to 5 weeks to fix. A phone call about progress was picked up but the promised return call was not received. I stopped by and was told it would be ready at the beginning of the next week. Two weeks later I stopped by the store again and was told it would be ready the beginning of the next week. I told the owner I wanted the clock NOW.

I was not charged anything however the clock no longer runs.

The condition of the sales floor was pleasant when Billy Rice ran the store. It has changed.
