Siding was replaced once and now they said they will not do anything moreNumerous homes in my subdivision have severe warping and even different colors of siding as Consort did not match colors when replacing slabsI would like them to replace siding with siding that is suitable Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as we are continuing to get our warranties completedWe are disappointed it took this step in order to get them started on our warrantiesWe hope for better communication by Consort to us and all other homeowners in the future! Sincerely, [redacted]

In response to Consorts side of the story there are many incorrect facts and important information that was left out. This information will help ensure that all patrons reading such remarks correlating to Consort will be accurate.First, we submitted our warranty on June 8th and received an email saying that we would hear back from them within 3 business days. It had been a week and more things were popping up. We contacted them again on June 15th as we had not heard anything in response. Mrs. Bliss quickly replied saying that they were forwarded to Eric, Site Manager for Consort. Still no response, so we sent another email on June 21st asking for an update. They had not responded until we posted something on the RevDex.com (BBB). [All emails, time stamped, attached.] In their response they stated that they have sent a direct request asking for a meeting on either of those days. Unfortunately, we found out about our possible meeting times through BBB. The time stamp for their answer was 3:46 pm on June 28th. I did not receive an email from Consort until 4:19 pm (picture attached). My email, time stamped after the response from BBB, also at no time did they give us an alternative, it had to be either the 6th or the 13th. This proving their response displayed false information. Consort has scheduled everyone to come take care of our warranties on July 6th between 8 and 10. However, our dishwasher was scheduled outside of the time frame the requested. The dishwasher company never received information that they were to come within that time frame. Again, Consort not communicating with us or the company as they did not ask for input or options from us. I do want to make it known that during our process of building we were at the house and recognized things that were continually being done incorrectly (i.e. no rough in for the basement even though paid for and discussed prior about, incorrect door, broken windows, crocked window in basement foundation, bowed walls, and light switches hung directly behind railings and that's just to name a few). At the time we would notice something, we thought we were being kind and would inform them so that they did not wait to the last minute when it came to the punch list, strictly to be pro-active, as our closing date was 5 days following the final walkthrough. They would say that they have things noted and ordered but it wouldn't be until 2 months after did they say that they finally ordered it. Things continued to add up (i.e. gash taken out of patio due to drywall company delivering drywall). This specific issue is what caused our original uproar. We were trying to figure out how it could be fixed as it was a huge eye sore. They continued to say it wasn't going to get fixed and began to get frustrated with our remarks. When we would bring things up, they would say they never said such things or agreed to things, however: when we provided them proof of their actual wording they found it threatening. Note: keep all documentation and any communication! They had a meeting, without included us, to talk about us. This resulted with us receiving a phone call from [redacted] threatening us 'to keep our mouth shuts or they would get rid of your house. We were to not say another word about what was going on and we were going to close with the house the way it was or they will just give it up.' Throughout the entire conversation [redacted] would reiterate that this was not our house, it was "His House" that was being built. The conversation was very threatening, unprofessional and really is not how any customer should ever be talked to. Ourselves, and our realtor, met with consort the following week (the messenger for the Country Shire Neighborhood) and we had laid down boundaries for both parties on December 18th. We insisted that [redacted] would no longer be apart of our house. If something were to come up, another supervisor or superior would have to come in his place. They insisted that if anything came up that we noticed needing being fixed we would have to say it in five words or less (avoid any miss conceptions, tone or misunderstandings through email). Both parties agreed and the house got completed. So, 1) when they stated they need more information in regards to the dishwasher, it was because we were told that we had to communicate things in 5 words or less and 2) when [redacted] showed up to our house there were feelings still unresolved due to his threats towards myself and my fiance. We were told by Consort we would not have to deal with him so they should have never sent him to our house in the first place. He has never apologized for his unprofessional and inappropriate tone/word usage with my fiance and he is not welcomed on our property due to his verbal abuse. To conclude, the exact words that I stated to [redacted] specifically were "I know who you are, I'm not going to shake your hand, as you have been an A**hole to us."As far as the comments in regards to building being haulted by Mr. [redacted] standing in front of a tractor is absolutely incorrect. When consort sodded our yard, they "forgot" to sod the final 8 feet of the farthest back of our yard. I was standing on my sodded yard and asking the man in the BobCat to not run through my sod. He said [redacted] , your not my boss" and proceeded to run through me, attempting to hit me unless I moved. His location had nothing to do with easement or the side of the house, it was the back corner of the sodded part of the yard. He was on my property and all I was asking of him was not to ruin the part of the yard that was actually completed. There were other trucks parked on our property, in the un-sodded section throughout this whole time too. [Picture attached - orange wooden stake showing the end of our yard.] We understand that houses are being built on both sides of our house but there was never any communication that these trucks were going to be on our yard, nor did they respect our house and property that was actually completed. All we have ever asked for from Consort is communication and they continue to show their unwillingness to do so. Since we have moved there has not been a time that a warranty, something needing to be fixed, hasn't been in action. Trust me, this is not something that we wished for but things are continually coming up that we are finding wrong. The house was closed on prior to them actually having the house complete (which we did not know they were working on our house while we were at closing - finishing our covered patio). As far as the non-Consort workers who come to work at the house, we have never had any complaints with them. They have all done a great job and we have been pleased with them. They have also shared that they have been informed that "we are difficult to work with" and two people, on separate occasions apologized for coming in with the mindset they were told as they did not feel that way with us. Consort does a good job of talking behind our back to companies but when people communicate with us, they see that we are understanding and are respectful. I look forward to having all of our warranties completed.

Work orders have been issued on all items with the exception of the following two items:
Item #4-Ceilings will be inspected at the month mark
Item #6-this is the nature of the lot as it is a very rocky area
Thank you

We sent a representative from Mastic the manufacturer to inspect the complaintsee attached that there is nothing out of the ordinary with the sidingwe sent our own representative who recently was certified in in siding installation and he found nothing wrongVinyl siding by its nature will make noice from time to time in high winds and especially in cold weatherwe have already replaced his siding from its original with a thicker higher temp resistantHe will not be able to be satisfiedHe references other homes which is not relevant just a threat of class action

Mrand Mrs*** visited our community and priced out and began negotiating on a house in late November of During negotiations, they submitted an offer on a house and the details are as follows:Full retail value of home (including 9' foundation pour) $306,348Purchasers offered
$269,plus $4,toward closing costs.Consort countered at $291,plus $4,toward closing costs.Purchasers decided to remove the 9' foundation pour and resubmit the following offer:Full retail value of home (without 9' foundation pour) $298,833Purchasers offered $276,plus $toward closing costsConsort countered at $281,plus $toward closing costsIn the end, we came to a deal with a final sales price of $284,plus $toward closing costs They signed the contract on 12/5/and Consort accepted We never sold them a 9' foundation pour; therefore, never only gave them partial credit for it It is true that during the negotiation they removed that item for $and expected us to decrease the price by that same amount However, because their offer was so low to begin with, we could reduce the sale price only proportionately to their offerThe contract was contingent upon the sale and closing of their existing property until 3/4/ They claim that they were contingent at the time, but from public record we know that they sold and closed on their existing property on 2/12/ At this point, they effectively have a firm contract They approached Consort in January wanting to renegotiate the price of the contract We denied their offer This is when they decided to cancel the contract We agreed to let them out of the contract at the expense of only their initial $deposit Both parties signed a mutual release on 2/16/agreeing to those terms and both parties have been release from any obligation

We have a work order for repair of the sunken area We have a work order for *** to evaluate the floor and *** to paint the base board
all three people have been asked to complete this within the week

It is Consort Homes most sincere desire to complete open warranty ASAPWe will review our records to confirm we are on track to do so

Consort has sent a direct request asking for a meeting on either 7/or 7/at AMWe have asked in the same message that if they are unable to meet at this time to offer an alternative between 7AM and 1:PM Monday through FridayThere are items mentioned which Consort Homes will
address at the meeting with Mr ***We plan to have workers at this meeting capable of handling repairs of items 1,2,and item dishwasher is not clear what that means and item 4 the front walk was not inspected by an employee of the contractor but a concrete truck driver. We need to make it known that Consort offered to refund the construction deposit prior to close, because our employees were uncomfortable working with the buyers and we (Consort) did not believe we were going to be able to satisfy themThey declined the offer and closed.A month or so ago, the construction on the home next door was halted temporarily by Mr *** standing in front of a tractor because it was infringing on his propertyThis is true in that the tractor is feet wide and the side easement is feet. *** *** the Division Manger was asked to go and mediateWhen he rang the door bell he was greeted by" I know who you are, I am not going to shake your hand, you are a ***." Verbal abuse is not appropriate or acceptableMr *** did proceed and have a conversation about future work on the home next door and felt the meeting ended with mutual understandingThis all said, the buyers have mentioned litigationPlease be aware that if threatened by this at our next or any future meeting our legal counsel has made it clear that we must immediately leave the premises.thank You

Had a home built by consort about 7 years ago, the home turned out fine. However when they later built the surrounding homes my yard flooded with mud and my fence was damaged. The builder did come out and clean up most of the mud but never fixed my fence. Also since they built the new homes it changed the grade of the surrounding area and one of the home on our street has water in the basement and our home and another have had standing water in the yard for almost the entire summer for the past couple years.

1) Garage floor- The Consort Homes Field Manager was in contact with the homeowner a few days before this complaint was filed on either Friday, July 24th or Monday, July 27th. At that time they discussed two options. The first was mud jack,...

raise and re-finish the garage floor. The second option was tear out the entire garage floor and replace. The homeowner chose to have the floor replaced. A work order was issued on 7-29-2015. The work was completed on 8-6-2015. Consort homes provided a POD for the homeowner to store their items while the repairs were being made.
2) Sidewalk- A work order has been issued and the work is schedule to be completed soon.
3) Foundation-the chips have been repaired.
4) Other misc. items-All are complete except a minor siding repair.
Thank you.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Consort Homes to build our new home! The process was very organized, and the representatives from the builder were very professional, organized, and really cared about us and our new home!

Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] visited our community and priced out and began negotiating on a house in late November of 2016.  During negotiations, they submitted an offer on a house and the details are as follows:
Full retail value of home (including 9' foundation pour)...

$306,348Purchasers offered $269,000 plus $4,000 toward closing costs.
Consort countered at $291,884 plus $4,000 toward closing costs.
Purchasers decided to remove the 9' foundation pour and resubmit the following offer:
Full retail value of home (without 9' foundation pour) $298,833
Purchasers offered $276,000 plus $4000 toward closing costs
Consort countered at $281,384 plus $2000 toward closing costs
In the end, we came to a deal with a final sales price of $284,000 plus $4000 toward closing costs.  They signed the contract on 12/5/2015 and Consort accepted.   We never sold them a 9' foundation pour; therefore, never only gave them partial credit for it.  It is true that during the negotiation they removed that item for $7500 and expected us to decrease the price by that same amount.  However, because their offer was so low to begin with, we could reduce the sale price only proportionately to their offer. The contract was contingent upon the sale and closing of their existing property until 3/4/2016.  They claim that they were contingent at the time, but from public record we know that they sold and closed on their existing property on 2/12/2016.  At this point, they effectively have a firm contract.  They approached Consort in January wanting to renegotiate the price of the contract.  We denied their offer.  This is when they decided to cancel the contract.  We agreed to let them out of the contract at the expense of only their initial $1000 deposit.  Both parties signed a mutual release on 2/16/2016 agreeing to those terms and both parties have been release from any obligation.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Vinyl siding...

on my home is warping and making loud noises when windy. Consort keeps blaming my home being on a hill as the issue, how is this the consumers issue?? Siding was replaced once and now they said they will not do anything more. Numerous homes in my subdivision have severe warping and even different colors of siding as Consort did not match colors when replacing slabs. I would like them to replace siding with siding that is suitable.
