On original contract customer wanted the porch roof replacedThen changed their mind, and when I called my crew leader at am the porch roof was torn off alreadySo we did not charge the customer to replace the roof that they intend to tear down in spring The [redacted] shingles that were gouged were replaced as sitedThe roof is in as new condition and we will stand behind our workmanship warranty as long as our customer retains the propertyThere are no known issues of poor workmanship at this timeWhat she does not mention is that the company she hired to replace her gutters/fascia put their ladders on the brand new installed roof and damaged several other shingles, which I replaced free of chargeAnd all these issues were not made aware to me, the customer always complained to another source before I was made awareI have a letter from her stating that when the warranty claim shingles were replaced she would pay the $balanceWe have yet to recieve that payment and there are ZERO issues with her roof as of 12/9/

I want to enforce the remaining balance of $be paid now!

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: When you first came out with the contract I mentioned the back porch and you wrote (*less $w/o patio roof) Then when I called to hire Construction Services to do the job, I told you I did not want the patio roof worked on and I also told you about the soft wood up on the second story I asked if I needed a new contract and you said no After the crew tore off the shingles, you wanted me to pay for the full price of $ I agreed to split the cost and you changed the contract to $in red pen You knew I did not want the back porch replaced because there weren’t enough shingles delivered and you had to go and buy more shingles to cover the patio Why did you have to caulk between the shingles on the patio? Is that “standard practices”? Were they not installed correctly? Why was the plywood not replaced on the second story? Could there be problems in other places on the roof? You recommended the [redacted] Shingles which I now know have an F rating from the Revdex.com I am not satisfied that the shingles are not defective I have noticed the shingles on the back patio have a sparkle in them that the shingles on the house do not The roof is not in as new condition I trusted your company because my [redacted] agent recommended you I want you to be honest with me In my letter I said I would inspect the work and hand you the check I am not satisfied with the workmanship because there are still shingles with gouges in them And as I stated before, new shingles were not used to replace the damaged ones Why are you not addressing this? Also, when [redacted] came out to replace the damaged shingles he tore other shingles The shingles he replaced are not sealed down and you can lift them and see nail holes and the blue synthetic felt Wind and rain will get up under there and cause damage You did not honor the contract that “All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices” I do not believe what was done to my roof is standard practices This is your company and you need to be responsible for the workmanship of the crew you hire if you want to be successful I want the money I paid returned so I can hire a different company to replace my roof You have lost my trust This is the truth so help me God Sincerely, [redacted]

On the original proposal it states: 10) We will provide a Lifetime workmanship warranty.  So that applies to me.  Then he added on: If property is sold within 1 year, a 5 year from date of installation warranty is valid.  Why would he need to do that??

I want to enforce the remaining balance of $600 be paid now!

On original contract customer wanted the porch roof replaced. Then changed their mind, and when I called my crew leader at 9 am the porch roof was torn off already. So we did not charge the customer to replace the roof that they intend to tear down in spring 2017. The [redacted] shingles that were gouged...

were replaced as sited. The roof is in as new condition and we will stand behind our workmanship warranty as long as our customer retains the property. There are no known issues of poor workmanship at this time. What she does not mention is that the company she hired to replace her gutters/fascia put their ladders on the brand new installed roof and damaged several other shingles, which I replaced free of charge. And all these issues were not made aware to me, the customer always complained to another source before I was made aware. I have a letter from her stating that when the warranty claim shingles were replaced she would pay the $600 balance. We have yet to recieve that payment and there are ZERO issues with her roof as of 12/9/16

I am rejecting this response because:
When you first came out with the contract I mentioned the back porch and you wrote (*less $310 w/o patio roof).  Then when I called to hire Construction Services to do the job, I told you I did not want the patio roof worked on and I also told you about the soft wood up on the second story.  I asked if I needed a new contract and you said no.  After the crew tore off the shingles, you wanted me to pay for the full price of $310.  I agreed to split the cost and you changed the contract to $6280 in red pen.  You knew I did not want the back porch replaced because there weren’t enough shingles delivered and you had to go and buy more shingles to cover the patio.  Why did you have to caulk between the shingles on the patio?  Is that “standard practices”?  Were they not installed correctly?  Why was the plywood not replaced on the second story?  Could there be problems in other places on the roof?  You recommended the [redacted] Shingles which I now know have an F rating from the Revdex.com.  I am not satisfied that the shingles are not defective.  I have noticed the shingles on the back patio have a sparkle in them that the shingles on the house do not.  The roof is not in as new condition.  I trusted your company because my [redacted] agent recommended you.  I want you to be honest with me.  In my letter I said I would inspect the work and hand you the check.  I am not satisfied with the workmanship because there are still shingles with gouges in them.  And as I stated before, new shingles were not used to replace the damaged ones.  Why are you not addressing this?  Also, when [redacted] came out to replace the damaged shingles he tore other shingles.  The shingles he replaced are not sealed down and you can lift them and see nail holes and the blue synthetic felt.  Wind and rain will get up under there and cause damage.  You did not honor the contract that “All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices”.  I do not believe what was done to my roof is standard practices.  This is your company and you need to be responsible for the workmanship of the crew you hire if you want to be successful.  I want the money I paid returned so I can hire a different company to replace my roof.  You have lost my trust.  This is the truth so help me God.
