We sent a price request to our factory for pricing and they sent back a priceWe then quoted it to the customer and he asked if this price was accurateWe then asked the factory the same question and we were told it wasWe then told the
customer it was accuratewe received a PO to ship the material and we then sent our PO to the factoryUnknown to us, the factory had just quoted freight to the jobsite - this was relayed to us after the factory received our POI then called the customer and I told her what had happened and that the factory was not going to honor their price or our POShe said that there had been discussion within their office before they ordered from us that our price was "way below another price they had received"So I said I would get an updated price including materials and freight and send it overI then received a call from the person in charge of the project stating that "they only received our price" and he expected us to fulfill the POI told him I couldn't because the factory would not honor their priceThe customer had also stated in an e-mail attached that our price "seems reasonable"I'm not sure how he could conclude that if he did not have another price and if he did have another price, he knew full well that there had been a mistake made and was leading us onI have since talked to the factory and they are to be contacting the customer to see if they can work out a resolution
