Review: Faulty/Unprofessional Entire New Kitchen Renovation-Jasmine Williams(Completed 12/2012) Contract Issue: Agreement included wall; ceiling; sink; faucet; dishwasher; garbage disposal; w r all microwave; stove; refrigerator; ling; ceramic flooring; cabinets; granite counter top Initially, Contract promised a 2 week job; yet completion of job took over a month. Agreement stated Licensed Master Plumber & Electrician; yet only handymen that did not know what they were doing provided the service. Agreement stated work would be done daily, but there were some days, no one showed up. Immediately following the completion of the kitchen renovation, I had the following serious, some safety concerns, which has been a strain on my health & my job stability, due to the constant service calls required to rectify the problems. Contacted Contractor-by following morning after I paid the balance due & completion: the electric bell was unhooked & never hooked up; the dishwasher door would not open enough to load dishes; cabinet doors not closing;new window was not sealed. Also,2 kitchen light switches that were initially in the kitchen were not replaced; only one installed. Only repair that was done 2 days later was repair of the dishwasher that was purchased too large for the space. Contractor cut some of the cabinet & jammed it in, which began ongoing problems with the dishwasher.Ongoing problems: Dishwasher leaking-finally breaking; faucet leaking& finally breaking; no doorbell until January 2014; electrical problems still not rectified; windows never sealed; dishwasher not operating.REFUND ISSUES: While the contractor repaired a few concerns, she has refused to pay for the faulty knock-off materials she purchased&the faulty services she provided for the following: I recently pd for new faucet& installation, & plan to purchase new dishwasher.Desired Settlement: Refund/Replacement:Request: $1,500;; Purchase of faucet & labor :$240.00Purchase of dishwasher & installation-approximation$850.00Window completion: Estimate-4175 & Balance-InconvenienceInitially Contractor was responsive to concerns, though not in a timely manner. Now she is refusing to stand behind her work, even though she was aware of these ongoing problems, which has caused me to take extensive amounts of time off from work also.
