claimed to have a 401k lead for me. After I paid the fee, the prospect declined to meet, according to ***. I requested refund. No response
See above. I have requested a refund four times. Never a response.

Desired Outcome

Refund $1,000

This is a client that we have worked with before so he understands that cancelled appointments happens often in this business. We have tried to contact this client but he has not responded.

They are simply dishonest. I sent 4 emails to them asking for assistance. They never responded until after they received the Revdex.com complaint. They claim that they will call me today. We'll see what happens. Yes, I was a customer of theirs in the past. They screwed me then too. Shame on me.

We are planning on fulfilling the signed contract.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If they intended to fulfill the contract, they would have done so months ago. They have not made any attempt to supply me with any leads. They are dishonest and deceptive. I just want a refund.

Company failed to deliver on contract terms and is withholding refund claiming, in part, cash flow issues.
Engaged the company to provide a number of leads and set appointments within a certain period of time and zip code. Signed contract and paid them $4,000 on Feb. 20, 2020. They failed to satisfy their contractual obligations, we asked for a refund under the conditions / terms specified in the contract. There was an attempt to get an extension and then negotiate a long term payback claiming cash flow issues.

A 6+ page detailed complaint has been provided to Revdex.com.

Desired Outcome

Full, $4,000, immediate refund.

This client signed a contract on February 20, 2020 for 4 appointments. She received information regarding her first appointment on March 11 that was scheduled for March 18. We verbally confirmed the appointment on March 17 and notified the client. After having the appointment information for 7 days she then notifies us by email that she will not be taking this appointment. She had an appointment that did take place on April 9, 2020. On May 28, 2020 she received an email notifying her that she has an appointment scheduled for June 11, 2020. On June 9, 2020 she notifies our office that she will not be taking the appointment after being told it has been verbally confirmed. She had her 4th meeting set for June 19, 2020 and was notified of this meeting on June 2, 2020. These meetings have fulfilled this contract.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The response from the company is obnoxious. As part of our claim we supplied a 6 page timeline of events that illustrates the company did not meet their obligations. It is amazing the lengths Consulting Connections, LLC (aka RPR401k and Retirement Plan Ratings) will go to trying to avoid returning your money. We did sign a contract on 2/20/2020 (attached) with specific language stating "Licensor agrees to deliver Prospects in the following geographic areas and plan asset ranges. 90-day money back guarantee if Licensor does not fulfill agreed upon number of appts BY 6/1/2020. Also attached is the email that was sent by our rep, ***, detailing what a qualified prospect was & their process. The appt on March 11th referenced was not in our contracted area and should have never been assigned to us (see email). Furthermore, we didn't even know about the appoint until their scheduling depart. called me to confirm the appoint on March 13th. I immediately emailed *** to let him know that I hadn't gotten any emails about this lead & also it was outside of our area. *** responded via email that he would check into it. I received (via email) documents about the appointment on March 17th so I again emailed *** & stated that I wished their company would get on the same page & that I would not be making the phone call b/c it was outside of our contracted area. Finally, on 3/18 we received an email from *** stating "I took care of this. They were not expecting. We sent documents to you in error. They should have gone out to the new advisors on this." (see email) *** and I also had a phone call later that day where I specifically asked him if all that was happening with the pandemic would impact the company's ability to deliver on their requirements. He assured me that they were having no issues setting phone and virtual appointments (rather than in-person meetings). He also stated that we had a total of 3 in the pipeline and gave me the names of the companies. None of those leads in the pipeline ever became appoints that were assigned to us. The lead for 4/9 was also a complete debacle. Again, we did not receive an email notifying us of that appoint. It was only b/c of a solicitation email that was sent to us on 4/7 for a completely different lead that I became aware of the 4/9 appoint. During the months we were engaged with Consulting Connections/Retirement Plan Ratings that we continued to receive email solicitations about leads with appoints that were already set in our area. A few were from a different rep so we responded to take us off the list and we were already working with someone. Some of the solicitation leads actually came from ***. We often inquired to *** why we couldn't have those leads since they were in our area & within the plan asset ranges contracted. On 4/7, *** responded with the name of the lead and asked if we had been notified. I stated no, & that we had not received any correspondence for a couple of weeks (other than solicitations) *** forwarded me the email that was "sent" to us 3/24. I thought the email had gotten caught up in our spam or quarantined email settings but I was unable to find it (or the email that was "sent" for the 3/18 appoint)I searched directly for it and by the senders address. Even on short notice we rearranged our schedules to make the call on 4/9. Since we had the name of the prospect/comp name we did some research while we waited for the plan documents. On 4/8 I sent *** an email that I didn't feel that the appoint for 4/9 was qualified. The prospect was the VP of Security at a bank & the current advisors were in-house advisors from LPL located within the bank. (see email). My bus partner and I have worked as Financial Advisors in a bank setting and we are very familiar with how plans are run. *** finally called me later on 4/8 to discuss the appoint & convinced me that we should still make the phone call even though we had expressed a lot of valid concerns. On 4/9, we did make the phone call. The prospect did not know *** would be calling, she thought the appointment would be with the person whom she had been speaking to. We explained who we were, and she immediately stated that she was "very happy with their current advisors and they were not looking to make any changes to their plan." She also stated during the phone call that she wasn't really sure why the appointment needed to happen but that the gentlemen that she had been speaking to "gave the impression" that she needed to have the plan reviewed. *** had specifically stated in a prior email on 2/20/2020 that "appointments are set with the plans DIRECT decision maker ONLY after they have expressed specific concerns/issues with their current plan or advisors. Only when a plan sponsor expresses they are unhappy and looking to change something will our caller speak to them about our network of experienced retirement advisors that join our program to meet local plan sponsors they can help and work with." As mentioned, the prospect did not know we (Akamai or my name of ***) would be calling nor had she expressed dissatisfaction with her current plan so this appointment should have never made it past the vetting process to become a lead. After the phone call we immediately called *** & told him what happened & how displeased we were. He requested we email a summary of the phone appoint (see attached) which we did later that day. Also during our conversation, I expressed concern that we were not receiving the lead emails even after searching for them. I asked that the lead generation team call me when a new lead was emailed to make sure we received it. *** stated they were too busy for that but he was cc'd on all lead emails & that HE would call me when one was assigned to make sure I got it. I agreed that was an acceptable solution. Solicitation emails continued during the next few weeks but no new leads were assigned. On 4/23/20 t *** called me & stated the company president, ***, had spoken to the prospect from the bank & that we would not be charged for the appoint on 4/9. Other than continued generic solicitation emails we did not receive any actual leads assigned to us or any correspondence until I submitted the 90-day refund request email on 6/1/2020 (see attached). *** called me later that day to acknowledge receipt of the email and that he needed to forward it onto management for review. I asked why it needed to be reviewed. He just responded that it was their process. On 6/2/20 at 8:08pm there was an email lead sent to me (funny how I got that one) from their support team for an appointment on June 19th. I did not see that email until I got into the office on 6/3 and I immediately forwarded (7:38am CST) to *** & stated again that his company did not fulfill the contract and provide qualified leads BY 6/1/2020. I also stated I did not want to continue working with his company and that I wanted my full $4,000 refund. I would not be accepting that appoint for those reasons. *** called me at 8:55am but I missed his call. I called him back at 8:57am. *** stated that he wanted to work out a compromise & they just needed more time. I said I was not interested in continuing the relationship & that the only reason I had agreed to try the service was b/c I thought the 90-day money back guarantee would help to protect us in case this was a scam. He stated that we were not going to get our money back & they had delivered leads. He tried to say the bank appt on 4/9 was a lead-I reminded him that he had called & said it wouldn't be charged as a lead. He was very argumentative with me & I was very frustrated. He then stated that I had a lead that was assigned on May 28th that was set for June 11th. Again, I had never received an email for that lead NOR had *** called me to make sure I knew about the appoint as discussed on 4/9. I also find it interesting that *** did not mention the lead that was assigned on 5/28 when he called me on 6/1/20 to acknowledge my refund request email. During the call on 6/3 with *** I kept reiterating that only a full refund was acceptable & that we would file against them. ***'s response was "go ahead"- he said they had hundreds of happy advisors. I asked why they couldn't return $4k if they were so successful? *** stated cash flow & that we weren't the only advisors who wanted money back. After the phone call with ***, I called my bus partner, *** called again so I conferenced *** in-9:24 am. *** said they would refund our money but needed more time offering $1,000/month over the next 4 months. I said that was unreasonable & *** and I would discuss. On 6/4/20 we sent revised terms to *** & requested he send it onto *** (see email). Mr *** had til 6/8/20 to agree to the new terms-he did not. A final email semt on 6/9 stated we would begin filing. Based on evidence provided it is certain Consulting Connections breached the contract.

We are agreeing to disagree. I would like to create a better relationship and work with this client to both of our satisfaction. The client wants appointments and we are willing to work out a mutually agreeable solution.

Customer Response • Jul 06, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We agreed to a certain amount of appointments during our contractual window or our money was guaranteed to be returned. The only solution that is agreeable is a return of our money, in full. This relationship has been nothing but a headache. We will now begin the process of filing a law suit.

Consulting Connections Response • Jul 07, 2020

We are looking for a compromise, we have done a great deal of work for this client procuring good opportunities, She has had appointments that she has turned down at the last minute. Whatever the reasons are there has been no doubt that we have done a great deal of work for her. I am sorry she feels that a lawsuit is the only way out. The end result will be a compromise through the legal process.

Existing contract is unfulfilled. Salesperson will not discuss fulfilling until a new contract with another deposit is made.
Be careful of this company's tactics. Originally had a contract with this group in 2015, paying $4,000 for 4 appointments. They fulfilled 3 meetings so I renewed with them the following year with the following parameters. Paid $6,000 for 6 appointments and carried over the other owed appointment, making it a total of 7 owed plans. The owner, ***, also agreed to give me an additional appointment for every two months they weren't able to schedule meetings. To date (4+ years later), I have received 4 valid appointments for this contract, so at the very least, I am still owed 3 more appointments (without including the bonus appointments for unscheduled months). I have followed up repeatedly with this group for my owed appointments and the salesperson is now saying that 'their records indicate that they have fulfilled their obligation' and that they will only be able to review 'if I pay for another contract.' I have asked multiple times for them to send me a list of these supposedly schedule appointments, and they keep sending me the same list of appointments that include meetings that were either cancelled by the business owner and never happened or appointments that they agreed to re-credit because they were awful. They also tried to send me on a meeting that misrepresented the value of the plan. I told them I was not interested in that appointment because it fell below the agreed upon parameters, which was my right, and they agreed to, but now they are saying that this meeting should count as well. I have the emails from the sales rep showing every appointment/cancellation/recredit, but when I try to discuss that half of their recorded appointments never happened, they keep asking me to send them more money for a new contract. Then the sales person thinks that because I closed one of the 3 appointments I received, that I should be somehow grateful and just forget about the other owed appointments. It's becoming obvious that their strategy is to fulfill part of a contract, but then they force you to renew if you want to see the full amount of promised appointments. I've kept every email correspondence and can prove they're in the wrong, but the only response I get now is 'the only way to move forward is with a new contract.' The sales person even told me that due to my contract adding a new lead for every two months I dont receive an appointment, that they would be better off just walking away from my contract.

Desired Outcome

I have repeatedly tried to work with this business to have them fulfill their obligation of appointments owed, and they are unwilling to do so. At this point, i would like a refund of $2,571, which would be a pro-rata refund of the appointments owed.

Customer Response • Jun 04, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Thank you for proving my point. I have given dozens of opportunities to Consulting Connections to detail the appointments provided that they claim have fulfilled their obligation. The record they provide includes two appointments that never occurred and one that was re-credited. I have provided them with email correspondence and records for the two appointments that never occurred, as well as their email approving the re-credit of the third appointment that was a complete waste of time. Rather than acknowledge that their records are incorrect, or even respond to the facts, they ask for more money. If my contract has been fulfilled, then why do I have the following: 1. continued emails from your scheduling department asking for my calendar to schedule my next owed appointment and 2. emails from your company between my last scheduled appointment and now acknowledging that "we owe you appointments" and "*** (owner) said he will get you your appointments" Lastly, none of this is even including the additional appointments owed to me due to the contracted arrangement that you would add ANOTHER owed appointment for every two months you were unable to send me on an appointment. When I started the process of requesting fulfillment of these appointments, the salesperson said "we owe you so many appointments at this point, it'd be better for us to walk away from your contract."

Consulting Connections Response • Jun 12, 2020

we have fulfilled our contract with this client

Customer Response • Jun 22, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Their response is inaccurate, and I have continued to ask for the details for these appointments. As I have outlined in my previous responses, Consulting Connections/Retirement Plan Ratings will very quickly take your money, fulfill part of the contract, then ask for more money to fulfill the remainder by promising you a "better deal." If you decline and ask for the owed appointments, their story changes, and all the sudden their records show that "your contract is fulfilled" but they wont discuss their records since they are fabricated.

Refusal to refund payment
I responded to an email dated March 20th, 2020 stating they had a confirmed 401k appointment in my area for March 31, 2020. I with the individual and paid the $1,600 for services. I returned the agreement paperwork on March 26.2020. Soon thereafter the COVID pandemic was in full force and the appointment was canceled, at least according to Retirement Plan Ratings, and the cancellation was last minute. They stated that it was being rescheduled. I requested a refund on April 3 stating that I felt with the current pandemic it would be best to wait and possibly revisit after things returned to normal. I was told they would ask the president which was declined. They said they would find a replacement group to meet. This group meeting was supposed to be April 30. I was notified on April 29 that the appointment was postponed. I immediately requested a refund on the 29th. I stressed that the current pandemic has placed my small business in a financial hardship and needed the funds returned. I received a reply the same day stating they would again check with the president. As of today, I had heard nothing. I called the original person I spoke with when this all started and left voice message requesting a return call. NOTHING! I then emailed requesting a refund and received that they are running payroll today but will call tomorrow. My reply was that I do not want their services. I am still requesting a full refund!! My small business supports my family along with 1 that is fully disable for life! We also have lost 3 close family members in the last 6 months, 2 of which we had to pay funeral expenses due to them being fully disabled themselves. This company has no morals!

Desired Outcome

FULL REFUND - $1,600

I received an email stating they were refunding the money but I have seen nothing. I asked if it was coming in a check to me or as a credit to my credit card originally used. They have not clarified that question. I have sent emails on 5/22 and 5/27 asking and have not heard anything from them to date. As far as I am concerned this is not resolved till I see the refund.

I sent 2 emails on June 1 and received responses to both stating the refund was processed on June 1 to my credit card. I have checked my credit card daily and have not seen it yet. I understand it can take a few days to process but as of this moment there has been no refund. I will continue to monitor and will update ASAP after seeing it processed to my card.

Customer Response • Jun 05, 2020

The refund showed on my credit card this morning. I am now satisfied with the outcome.

6 months to receive anything after asking multiple times for a refund. Finally send something and not legit at all. Then lied to and misled.
Sales rep doesn't follow up when asked, lies, misleads and we have asked multiple times to speak with leader of the organization. They turn it around on us and say we are lying and we received what we paid for (which is not true) and this is all six months after paying for the leads back in September of 2019. *** has been our representative and she doesn't return our calls or emails when she says she will and when we finally get her she promises a solution and then it never happens. They have lied on multiple occasions, they are very unorganized and I have never dealt with a company like this. We paid $1,800 for 3 leads and received our first one in March of 2020. At that point Natasha told me I sent an email to the prospect asking for a phone interview which is not true. Although we had already asked for a refund, we were told this is a lead for us and they were interested. The prospect told us he had no interest in considering our services. When mentioned to *** she emailed us that they'd have to get the prospects side of the story. She said they have called but couldn't get in touch with them but would let us know. It's been weeks now and nothing. she stopped returning our calls and emails and we have asked for the president's contact information and she won't give it to us and then promises to follow up with us and doesn't. We haven't heard from her and then 2 leads showed up in my email and a complete disregard for how terrible the last lead was-no faith in this company and I feel they are dishonest and very misleading.

Desired Outcome

Refund of our $1,800 and they can keep the leads.

Customer Response • Mar 31, 2020

The president, chief executive officer of the company reached out to us yesterday and is working with us to make things right. Can you please rescind the complaint? Thank you!

I almost said yes. But I kept getting multiple emails from multiple sales reps. This company is made up of independent marketing people and apparently "the boss" supplies them with email lists. There is no central coordination and they can't seem to stop the spam email to me. I can't imagine allowing them to prospect for me. Stay away from this company. They will ruin your reputation.

So far, I'm not feeling very good about them. I paid $600 for one lead. The first Appt they booked for me got rescheduled, then they asked me for a good date range to reschedule it in, which I gave them, but by the time they got back to me with another date, I already had another appt booked for that day and time. So I told them that Icould no longer do that date and time. Then they rescheduled me for another date and time a month later, which cancelled on me.Now I can't get anyone on the phone or through email to see what's going on. It's been around a month that's gone by. I'm starting think that all these other negative posts are true. We'll see!

Retirement Plan Ratings stole my money
In October of 2019, I paid Retirement Plan Ratings for 401k Plan leads within my marketing area. For me this is a one hour drive in any direction. I live and work in a major metro area, so that covers thousands and thousands of retirement plans.

I responded to an email solicitation which claimed to have a specific "qualified 401k plan in my area" that was seeking a new advisor. The information reported that the "Owner is concerned as the current Advisor is Non-Proactive, provides No Service or Education to the participants." It also stated that the "Owner is willing to accommodate a different date if needed."

The meeting was already set for 10 am the next week which was perfect! What a great opportunity!

At that point I decided to help my business and purchase four leads from the service for $4000. A big investment, but I want to grow my business and I have expertise in 401k service.

I paid the money and then...... crickets. Hey, what about that great plan with the unhappy business owner?? He wants to reschedule? He changed his mind? Wow, that was fast. OK, I guess it happens. The sales person *** (real name I wonder?) said she I should plan on buying more leads in January as I likely would be rolling with meetings and it would be time to get more leads and opportunities. Unfortunately, this is NOT how the situation has panned out.

After I expressed my concern about no leads in December , they did try to assign me a lead far outside of the agree upon marketing area (over two hours away) which I declined to accept as the described lead looked poor, and it was far outside my agree upon marketing area.

I called ***, President of the firm in November to discuss the situation, and I got no reply. I called again this morning, and no response as well.

I would like to resolve this situation without legal action or contacting regulatory authorities. ***, how about providing the refund I'm owed and allow me to move on with my life? I would appreciate it.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of the money I paid. I have not received the promised service and they have shown no ability to deliver what they promised.

Consulting Connections Response • Feb 05, 2020

We have settled this issue. The client has received a partial refund. We have had a fair compromise.

Customer Response • Feb 06, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Yes, I have accepted their response and am satisfied.

This company is terrible! They sent me an email saying that they had a confirmed appointment for a 401k review. I paid $1,000 and that lead NEVER materialized. After contesting the charge on my credit card because I never went on the appointment they started to threaten me by saying that the firm would take me to small claims court, file against my U-4 etc if I didn't call credit card to not dispute the charge. We worked out an agreement that I would get another lead (mind you I never got the first lead) and after about 5 months, they FINALLY had a lead sent to me. But, this lead had just spoke to someone from Retirement Plan Ratings about 8 months prior and the first thing the company owner said to me when I was there for the appointment was "I am not sure why you are here, we talked to someone about 67 months ago and we are totally happy with the 401k that we have". Further he stated that the plan admin is a "friend of the company". So, the meeting only lasted 2 minutes. I have been in contact with RPR via email several times about my refund and now its radio silence. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR TIME OR MONEY. STAY FAR AWAY FROM EVERYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THEM!

The company has failed to provide leads that I paid for. The company several months later will not return my money.
RAUD/SCAM

On September 17, 2019, I purchased two leads from *** with RPR401K, LLC, for a total of $2,800. Of the first six leads I received, all were cancelled by Mr. prior to the meeting date and time. All of these leads were supposed to be rescheduled, but none were rescheduled. As a result I was told that more leads would be provided. Finally, Mr. scheduled a meeting with a potential client. However, the meeting did not meet the Definition of Prospect requirements. The potential client was confused as to the purpose of the meeting and who I was and what I represented. In fact, the "potential" client said he never had any intention of considering any changes to his 401K program, and he didn't like the phone calls his company kept receiving from RPR401K, LLC.

Therefore, after four months of erroneous leads and fictitious appointments, I contacted Mr. and requested a refund based on my assumption that there existed a breech of contract. Mr. denied my refund request, and told me he needed more time. After failing to reach an agreement with Mr., I phoned the president of the company ***, and the president agreed there was an issue, and the company would make a complete refund if there were no new leads received by December 31,2019. And, there were no leads referred by RPR401K, LLC.

Now it is my understanding that the president indicates that he has no recollection of his promise for a refund, and he will not return my calls. The president has deferred his calls to Mr., and Mr. has refused to consider any refund in spite of their breech of contract.

I accessed the Revdex.com site, and discovered many complaints against RPR401K, LLC with similar results to mine. This company should not be allowed to conduct business in any state, as it appears to be a complete fraud and a scam. Everyone should be aware of their business tactics, and not provide any funds that would allow them to profit from their exploiting methods.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a return of my $2,800.

Consulting Connections Response • Jan 14, 2020

This client signed a contract to receive 2 face-to-face appointments. As the client said he went out on the first appointment meeting with the Vice president of operations. The company he visited with said that he came in selling on the first meeting. Experienced financial advisors know that the first meeting is a fact finding meeting. It doesn't make sense to mention to the company about shopping the 401k plan until you receive documents to review the 401k plan. Selling before this makes no sense. This client did that. These types of opportunities takes months to close and build a relationship with the company. We sell leads, it is up to the financial advisor to win the business. There are no guarantees you will win business. It takes time and follow-up to win business. This client is unwilling to do the follow-up

Customer Response • Jan 14, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company's response was inaccurate. As previously noted, upon my arrival, the prospect was confused with who I was and why I was there. I was there for no more than two minutes as the prospect said he had no intention of meeting with me. Therefore, I did not ever have a chance to "sell" him on anything. The statement provided in rebuttal to my complaint is deceptive and not truthful.

"Company" is terrible to work with. DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING UP FRONT.

I paid for 4 leads. After 9 months I received 1. Further, when they are contacting potential clients, they tell these clients it is a required Department of Labor Audit.

They sold to us that potential clients would be someone who was not happy with their current adviser. This is not the case.

Requested refund on several occasions but they will not provide. Further, they just stopped sending any leads over.

Hey ***,

Below is summary of 4 meetings we have received so far.

He was very satisfied with 2 of the 4 meetings but chooses to say he is unhappy because he only received 1 appointment. Where is the credibility in this review?

I receive almost weekly emails from this company (20 emails in the last 4 months), despite having asked to be removed from their distribution list.
Over the past 4 months, I've received 20 emails from this company (3 different representatives). On 10 separate occasions, I've emailed or called them in response, following their instructions, asking to be removed from their distribution list. I usually receive no email response, but when I've gotten someone on the phone, I've been told that I'll be removed shortly.

I never signed up to be on a list, and the business they are soliciting has nothing to do with my line of work.

Desired Outcome

Only to not be contacted again (and perhaps implement a system to allow others to unsubscribe, like every other business in this country).

Put differently, the company's response is "We'll take you off current lists, but make no promises that you won't be re-added." This is not acceptable, and any company operating in the modern era can easily (and at low cost) build in cross-checks so that they aren't continually contacting individuals who have asked not to be contacted.

The fact that implementing that would be difficult speaks volumes about the company's organizational competence.

Misrepresent the qualifications of the Financial Advisor to simply get you an cold appointment.
We paid $600 for a lead through this company in Jul of 2019, for an appt Mid-Jul in which the prospect then cancelled and needed to be rescheduled. After calling Retirement Plan Ratings 401K(RPR) to see when another appt would be provided it took them several emails, calls to make arrangements. RPR just keep asking for more time. We have given plenty of time to generate one lead. The song and dance of "we will get you a good qualified lead" is BS.

Finally, after an August scheduled appt was received by RPR, in which as a professional, verified the companies 5500 through FreeEIRSA as well as BrightScope to confirm it was only a FAIR plan and possible real prospect.

However, since it was over 1 hour away from my location, I wanted to confirm the appointment as any Professional would and understand the client's need & meeting attendance. I left my name, phone number and reason for calling with the contacts name. The owner was very kind and explain that he told RPR he didn't need anything and was please with his plan as well as financial advisor.

I offered an introduction to compare plan fees and results if he would wish to meet. This was NOT an lead, simply a cold prospect.

RPR explained to me that I should NOT have called and just showed up for the meeting. Really? Drive a few hours without confirming a meeting?

This has been the company who misrepresents themselves to prospect organization who they
deal with.

Desired Outcome

We would like our $600 back. That is the most reasonable thing to do.

I am surprised to see this as a complaint. This client describes our process regarding supplying face-to-face appointments to financial advisors well. He complains about the time it took to get him this appointment. Less than 2 weeks is not a long time to do this. He was told many times that appointments will postpone or reschedule. Our company's focus is to deliver quality face-to-face appointments. We confirm appointments via email and verbal confirmation. We contact companies at least 4 times to make sure of the appointment's quality. Our contract specifically states that the client should not contact the company and have the appointment over the phone. The companies are expecting to meet the advisor face-to-face. When the advisor calls in advance the company will not be interested in hiring the advisor because they already see the advisor is unwilling to come out and visit with their employees. All of our appointments are verbally confirmed.

"Our contract specifically states that the client should not contact the company and have the appointment over the phone. The companies are expecting to meet the advisor face-to-face. "

As they said, DON't Confirm the appointment. (In the fine print) How many Financial Advisors just show up unprepared?

They didn't indicated are they returning the $600, does not appear that way. Lesson was learnt and RPR demonstrated by referring to "Contact"

You practice will NOT grow from engaging with RPR, save your money.

Have NOT heard back to several email, or any acknowledgment. Guess they though I would go away.
Well, I hope that all FINANCIAL ADVISORS BEWARE!

We try something and even after 10 years experience can be screwed by a Fraudulent company.

Consulting Connections Response • Sep 09, 2019

We have been in communication with this client and he seemed fine with getting a 2nd chance with us. We are working on getting him another appointment after he ruined the first appointment he went out on. He says one thing to us on the phone and then goes and complains to others. Again, we will be getting him another appointment.

Nothing ever happened, No there was no more communication from this company.

Again, this client continues to complain even though he has received what he paid for and he has admitted he breached the contract. We will try and work with him even though he is being this difficult.

Retirement Plan Ratings offered two more appointments which I placed on my schedule, and in both cases the appoints rescheduled the date 24 hours before the appt. Yes, I prepared with a 401(k) proposal, blocked out my time, etc.

When, I indicated that Retirement Plan Ratings needed to coordinate an acceptable date, with me before just rescheduling Retirement Plan Ratings bhed an complained it was me.

Basically,

I want NO involvement with Retirement Plan Ratings , they thing their appoints are gold, I don't sit around waiting keeping my schedule open, for Retirement Plan Ratings clients to keeping rescheduling.

So don't blame me for your low quality leads.

Now for my totally apology to Retirement Plan Ratings. As the saying goes "Only time will time" or "Patience is a virtue"

After both of use being persistence in working things out and coordinating our efforts, the relationship with Retirement Plan Ratings worked out.

Yes, they have proven that if you hang in their with them a meeting with be scheduled and confirmed. The it MUST be up to the Financial Advisor to close the deal.

Well, the appointment came, and the first meeting went like a charm, obtained the 403(b) plan and moving forward with the client.

In fact, after the bumpy road with Retirement Plan Ratings, I signed another agreement with them to find additional appointments without expecting it to be tomorrow.

Go though it for yourself partnering with Retirement Plan Ratings and you will be happy with the outcomes.

I entered into an agreement with the company. 14 months later, services still not provided.
On May 31, 2018 I signed a contract with Consulting Connections, LLC and paid them a fee of $4,365 for their assistance generating appointments for prospective 401k plan clients. The fee was for a certain number of appointments set in a specific size of plan range.

For the first few months I would be notified of appointments and then they would be cancelled, then I have not heard from them since then.

Ironically I have been contacted by other representatives (***) from Consulting Connections that notify me that there is an appointment available. When I respond to them they tell me that the appointment is only available for new subscribers and try to get me to sign another contract. When I mentioned to them that I already had an active contract they hang up on me.

It appears that Consulting Connections is failing with it's oversight of his agents. Each agent appears to be representing his/her own book of appointments to sale and is not honoring the agreement that Consulting Connections has with their clients. Mr. tried to tell me that my contract was with the sales representative that sold me the services originally and not him. When I quoted the language in my contract and told him that my agreement was with Consulting Connections and he was an agent of that entity he promptly hung up on me stating he had another call coming in.

Desired Outcome

I would like my $4,365.00 refunded to me.

Consulting Connections Response • Aug 06, 2019

We have spoken and are working through some issues.

Customer Response • Aug 13, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The company explained that the representative I was working with left the company and my profile got lost in a variety of errors after that event.

They have placed me with a new representative, Elen, and things are going much more smoothly.

Asked them over 10 times to remove me from their e-mail list. Even faxed the request a number of times. Apparently no one there is smart enough to know how to do this. Why would I even think of doing biz with them!

We paid for a lead through this company in June of 2017. We are still without any viable lead and it is now March of 2019.
The company doesnt return calls or email. We have left multiple messages with the President *** He or his operations staff just dont respond. This has been the worse organization to deal with. They just keep asking for more time. We have given plenty of time to generate one lead. The song and dance of "we will get you a good qualified lead" is hogwash.

Desired Outcome

We would like our $1,300 back. That is the most reasonable thing to do. Almost 21 months with no services completed.

Consulting Connections Response • Apr 12, 2019

We will be refunding this client. The was a case where the parameters that we agreed to were very hard to fulfill.

I would do zero stars if that was possible. Several years ago I was contacted by Retirement Plan Ratings to meet with a "qualified" 401(k) representative for a local company in my area. I paid them the money and found that the "qualified" representative wasn't exactly as I had been told and I decided that I would no longer do business with Retirement Plan Ratings. Since that time they have continued to SPAM me on a near weekly basis. I have contacted them multiple times and requested that they remove my name from the list and or lists, which they always inform me they will yet the emails keep coming. I have tried to use the SPAM controls and Junk email filters in Outlook, yet the email addresses change and the emails keep coming. The last time I spoke to them I told them that if I received continual emails from them I would start to report them and for a month or two they stopped. Now they have resumed. I would really just like the emails to stop coming. Their product is not as advertised and I don't want to hear from them again. If you are experiencing the same thing go to the FTC and file a complaint.

This client joined our program in 2016 and did go out on a qualified appointment. We will take him off our mailing lists.

Customer Response • Feb 13, 2019

I have been told many times before that I was removed from their list. Time will tell.

Consulting Connections Response • Apr 26, 2019

He has been removed from all mailing lists

Company continually contacts us regarding unsolicited 401k plan services
We have received repeated phone messages and emails from *** regarding a "scheduled meeting" that we supposedly set up for an "independent plan review". We have never contacted this company and do not wish to use their services. The most recent message we received was and email on 9/26/18, as well as repeated attempts to reach our HR manager via phone (at least 3 phone calls per day). We responded to Ms. email message requesting our information be removed from all correspondence. Since that email we have received 3 phone calls today from this company.

Desired Outcome

We have expressed our wishes for our information to be removed from all correspondence from this company.

Consulting Connections Response • Oct 31, 2018

Our records indicate that we have been corresponding with *** who is the Human Resource Director. He did agree to meet with a financial advisor in our program to review his 401k plan. See his email he sent to us. He then canceled the meeting. We have removed this company from our lists.

Hi ***, Neither I nor *** Sealing & Striping in interested in your independent review. Please remove my information from all of your correspondence. Thank you

I entered into a contract with this co. to provide a service within a specified time period. I paid them $1600. They did not deliver. *** not refund.
After being solicited by RPR for a specific appointment opportunity, I entered into a contract on 8/22/18 with RPR (an appointment setting service) to schedule a specific appointment within a 2 week period. I paid them $1600. The terms of the contract state that if the appointment does not get scheduled by the end of 2 weeks, I *** receive a full refund. They did not provide the appointment and have been evasive, not returning phone calls, emails etc...
When I finally did get a response from *** (the solicitor), he indicated by email that he needed more time. I emailed him back that the time period had expired and I would like my money returned. After this first exchange, he did not return emails/phone calls for a period of time.
I emailed both *** and *** on 9/20/18(owner of RPR) to inquire about my refund and let them know that if I did not hear back I would have to take action by informing my company's compliance officer and potentially legal action. *** called me the following day in response and claimed that there was no contract and that I can take any action I would like. After I forwarded a copy of the contract to him, he indicated that no specific appointment had been identified on the contract. I then forwarded him another email (dated 8/22)from *** stating that he would supply the name of the specific appointment only after I paid them $1600. *** failed to do this.
*** has continued to respond only that he *** work something else out but *** not refund my money. The contract specifically states that no alternative compensation *** be accepted...only a full refund in the appointment was not supplied I the 2 week time period.

During the 2 week contract time period, *** sent me a appointment sheet and tried to pass *** off as the one he had sold to me. After I questioned him, he told me the original appointment had been cancelled and that the one he sent me was a free replacement. The free replacement was also subsequently cancelled.
I told him numerous times that I was not interested in a replacement only the appointment he had sold to me.
The last correspondence I have from *** is an email asking to talk. I responded that I only want to talk if he is calling to tell me when my money would be returned. I sent one additional email today, 9/25, asking for my money back once again.
In my opinion, this is a classic bait & switch attempt. Once caught, they tried to scramble. I have a clear contract and they took $1600 from me. I have a copy of the contract, debit from my account and all email correspondence.

Desired Outcome

I would like the return of the $1600 I paid to them.

Consulting Connections Response • Oct 03, 2018

This client has signed 6 contracts with us. The last contract was on August 18, 2018. He does understand our program. As he knows, we are spending valuable resources to get him out on an appointment. He has gone out on over 10 successful appointments.

Customer Response • Oct 04, 2018

The company's response is deceptive and reflective of the way they do business. It is because of my past experience with them that I insisted on a limited contract and a money back refund if they did not deliver. The contract was written in such a way that if they did not deliver the specific appointment they promised in two weeks I would receive all my money back. They agreed to it, took my money and after the fact said they did not sign it so it "doesn't count". They are deceitful thieves. The operation is a say anything, lie if you have to, pressure sales, bait & switch scheme. I would have been less surprised if I was pickpocketed in the parking lot. They lied directly to me. Fortunately, I have an email chain that supports my complaint.

Consulting Connections Response • Oct 18, 2018

Each client signs a contract to receive face-to-face appointments. The client signed a contract with no stipulations. Also, this client has has multiple contracts with us so he does understand the appointments *** cancel.

Customer Response • Nov 05, 2018

Since my last submission, I have had several phone & email conversations. During the last phone conversation, *** admitted they did wrong and would "make it right". He apologized for everything and told me I would receive my money back. It has been two weeks since that conversation and I have not received a check. He had indicated to me during our call that it would be mailed 2 weeks ago. They have not returned my emails inquiring about it either.

I gave Retirement Plan Ratings $2,400 for 2 qualified leads to plan sponsors looking to legitimately review their plan. In 5 years I got one lead to a mom and pop shop that was completely satisfied with their advisor and administrator and that is it. They won't even return my calls. Complete theft of service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
