On april 8th of 2016 this business came to my home to repair my frigidaire refrigerator.after replacing the filter my icemaker stopped working and my water on the door was not working properly. also since I needed someone to fix these issues I ask if he could fix the holder where you get ice from the door was broken. well he came and quickly ripped the module panel on the door off the refrigerator put the new thing (that you push on to get ice from the door) then he puts the new icemaker in. then he tries to put the module back on the door for 3 hours he tries to put it back the whole time telling me my 2008 refrigerator is too old and he does not know how to work on it I must have broken it before he came.I said one thing I know for sure is that it was working when he got here before he jerked it off the door.now he says well I do not know how to fix it.so he moved on to the new icemaker and he said it was not getting water so he check my waterpump (or what that it is called) and said that was the problem.so he said he would be back on Monday to try and fix the module that he broke and bring me this waterpump .he toke his new icemaker back and put back my old one and left.about 20 minutes after he left the icemaker started making ice.so now what he said he will come back on monday and fix what he broke because he does not work on saturdays.I video tape (pure accident)the whole thing and I can tell you he did not know what he was doing.Desired Settlementfix what he brokeBusiness Response In response to the complaint filed against my business. When I first received the call from the customer on April 8, 2016, she was hysterical about her refrigerator. She had water pouring from the door dispenser and the ice maker wasn't making ice. Also she had a broken actuator to be repaired. When I arrived on April 8, 2016, I did not check her dispenser due to possible water damage by pushing water dispenser actuator. I showed her a broken cover before removing it but when I opened it up I discovered the "old style" dispenser which has electronic boards instead of the micro-switches we see today. I replaced the actuator and reinstalled only to find the dispenser over the system didn't work. She was adamant that it worked before so I kept checking for loose ribbon which is very difficult to install. I worked for approximately 3 hours but only came to the conclusion that the water shooting into the electronics had to have shorted them out. The icemaker issue was extremely rare. I ran the icemaker 3 times manually and temporarily installed a new ice maker unit. The unit was still not working. I checked the water valve and it showed bad (open) by meter and I told her I would bring one back on my return. Approximately one hour after I left she called and said the ice maker had started working. I said Great and I would return on Monday, April 11, 2016. I returned, with an assistant, with only one of the three electronic parts needed. This one part was in our immediate stock. But to no avail. I ordered all new parts for her and called her on April 13, 2016 to replace parts, but she said she had to reschedule because she had to go to work. I was asked to reschedule the call until April 20, 2016. I called her on April 20, 2016 and she had to reschedule because she was sick. I told her I hoped she felt better and would call her on April 25, 2016 to see if I could complete the call on that date. I called on April 25, 2016 and she said she had strep throat and was still sick and she would call back. I have not heard from her since April 25, 2016. Note: I truly believe that she knew the dispenser did not work and video taped this to try and get something for nothing. I was very kind to her but her attitude was very upsetting. I have not received any type of payment from the customer at this point.
