CouleeCap’s Work-N-Wheels program, so I cannot speak on their behalf. Here at Consumer Credit Counseling Service we have the Coulee Wheels Program to help individuals get into a vehicle as long as they meet the requirements. Our role in this program is to review the client’s financial situation as well as the four main requirements for this program; driver’s license, proof of insurability, credit score must be less than 580, and most importantly, the vehicle payments are affordable. The process starts with an appointment where we go over a budget, verify paystubs and 2 months of bank statements, pull a credit report, and discuss the program. In this particular case the income that Ms. [redacted] included in her budget did not match what was on her paystubs, as well as the bank statement didn’t match the spending we went over in the budget. Ms. [redacted] was told that we needed two paystubs that reflected what she stated she made in order for the budget to be accurate and Ms. [redacted] to qualify for the program. Based on our review of her income the vehicle payments were not going to be affordable, recommendations were made to reduce expenses or increase income. If Ms. [redacted] is able to produce documentation of her income and expenses that will show that a vehicle payment is workable in the budget, we can forward her to a financial on our list for their review process and underwriting.Respectfully Submitted,[redacted]
