I went through Consumer Debt Solutions Incto enter into a debt management program Basically CDS put me in contact with Credit Guard of America, who actually took care of the debt repayment program CDS did nothing other than take their $39/month fee When I completed the program through Credit Guard of America, I assumed that I would no longer be paying the monthly fee to CDS However, they took the fee as usual When I contacted them about it, I was told that I needed to send a notice of cancellation to them, and that a refund could take 15-days I did as instructed, and received a letter stating that they had reviewed my request for refund but were denying it Their reasoning was that I had signed an agreement stating that any notice of cancellation must be received days prior to the due date of the next payment This was not mentioned when I called initially about the overpayment I don't recall signing any such agreement, so I requested a copy I got a nasty phone call from them stating that they were not obligated to provide me a copy of the agreement, but they would with the section in question underlined and highlighted The individual I spoke with was rude and hung up on me My advice would be bypass CDS and contact Credit Guard of America directly

I was a customer of Consumer Debt Solutions for 4 years they enrolled me in a consolidation program with Credit Guard and I am so grateful to them for their professional and courteous service. They explained the whole process to me and made sure to advise me that if there were any changes in the program to contact them. I contacted them once I was done with my program and they immediately stopped the Monthly fees. I am very grateful to them since I am now debt free.
