Consumer Services Corp. Reviews (16)

Review: The company continuously send letters asking me to contact them over a settlement/debt issue which I have not requested. in the letter they say..... we are aware of your financial situation. Once we have been contacted, we will have authorization to facilitate a settlement offer of $10,000 on your behalf directly with your creditors. once all funds clear and the program proceeds have been applied to you creditors accounts, your account will be closed. etc.Desired Settlement: Stop Contacting Me. I am not in need of their services

Review: Continue to receive notices from Consumer Services Corp. indicating that we have debt and they are offering a settlement and indicate that failure to respond will result in our file as being flagged as non-responsive.Desired Settlement: Stop this company from intimidating people.

Review: A letter sent to me as a senior sounds as if I will be in legal trouble if I don't call immediately to get a loan from them.Desired Settlement: Warn them to discontinue this intimidating approach aimed at vulnerable senior citizens.

Review: these people call my number from different numbers around the country atleast 5 times a day. Ive told them to stop I dont even have credit cards, they have hung up on me every time. my number is on the do not call list but still they persist. its blatant harrassment!Desired Settlement: stop calling me im not interested

Review: Company accessing personal credit information without consent and using info for unsolicited debt reduction services,

Review: This "company?" Consumer Services Corp. is probably some kind of scam. They keep sending me letters offering to reduce my debt(of which I do not have). They send notices that are misleading, trying to get you to contact them via phone or web. I could not find anything legit about them online. Their math wasn't even correct! I hope they haven't scammed others that are unaware and vulnerable. They need to be stopped!Desired Settlement: I would like Revdex.com to be aware and I would like them to stop sending me letters!

Review: they have called me for the last months with many different phone numbers and when I confront them they hang up on me they have uses 314 numbers and others including this one [redacted]Desired Settlement: Stop all the phone calls

Review: I received a letter stating I owed someone 45,000.00. I've never owed money and not paid. The letter appears to be a scam wanting me to go to a web site and enter a security code.Desired Settlement: Stop contacting me with fraudulent claims.

They call constantly.

Review: The mail correspondence sent to me was very very misleading. It read as if I had an outstanding debt of $33,000 dollars and that they had tried to contact me in the past. Upon close examination this was not a letter for failure to collect, but instead some company trying to get me to do debt consolidation. The dollar amount was arbitrary and very high. These people will bait someone for a phone call and perhaps even take their money. Hope this review helps someone.

Review: This company keeps sending me "IMPORTANT FINAL NOTICE" letters claiming that I owe someone $39,000 and they will restructure my alleged debt to $19,500 for me, in a payment plan of $585 for 36 months. (They didn't even do the math right - $585 x 36 months is $21,060.) I am not delinquent for that amount of money to anyone.

This is the reference number I am supposed to use: [redacted]

This is the phone number I am supposed to call: [redacted]

This is the website I am supposed to use: [redacted]

They claim I have until March **, 2015 to contact them.

This is at least the fourth such letter I have received from this company.

I reported them to the Kansas Revdex.com about a month or two ago but have not heard anything from them.Desired Settlement: Take me off of their mailing list. I think the public (especially old gullible people) should be made aware of this scam and this company should be criminally investigated to see if this scam has worked on anyone.

Review: I receive unsolicited calls and despite numerous requests to stop calling, the calls go on. This morning when I started to politely ask that no further calls be made to me, as usual the person hung up on me.Desired Settlement: No more calls.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Consumer Services Corp. regarding complaint ID [redacted].Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: I keep getting letters from these people claiming how much debt I have and questioning my financial situation and that they will lower my debt. I know it's a scam, however, how do they know how much money I owe? Where are they getting my information from. So I called and kept getting asked personal financial questions which I refuse to answer and told them to stop contacting me and take my name off of their list. They even have a notice number for me and keep sending me very official looking mail that looks like it's coming from the government sometimes. It's aggravating and worrying that they might have any of my financial information.Desired Settlement: That these scammers stop doing this and they probably are fooling some people and those people are probably losing their hard earned money.

Review: Consumer Services calls me from varying phone numbers. When I speak with an operator and ask them to add me to their do not call list, they immediately hang up. Repeated calls for now over 4 months.Desired Settlement: Place me on their do not call list. Otherwise, please fine them fro their repeated avoidance of this request.

Review: I received a letter from this company offering to finance a supposed debt of $40,000. The letter made me feel threatened. I have never owed money to anyone.Desired Settlement: Put this group out of business

Review: I received a letter from them dated 3/X that stated to contact them by 4/X. The letter states "We are aware of your current financial situation. Once we have been contacted, we will have authorization to facilitate a settlement offer of $XX,XXX on your behalf directly with your creditors. Once all funds clear and the program proceeds have been applied to your creditor accounts, your account will be considered settled and closed.

If you are unable to pay the above settlement in a lump sum, we can offer a monthly set aside plan to make monthly payments more affordable. According to our records, we are able to set up a monthly set aside of 36 months for $XXX per month.

Again your account will be reported to the national consumer repositing agencies as "account paid in full for less than half the balance.""

Unfortunately for me, there is no way to verify that any payment would actually go to creditors for any amount. Along with the fact that I have been taking care of my debt, the balance they list isn't even close to my current situation. The letter comes across as nearly an ultimatum since at the top it also puts in massive bold letters "IMORTANT NOTICE 2015" and "IMMEDIATE RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE REQUIRED". By requiring my response this becomes a mandatory action and ultimatum that I must contact them to pay off any debt I may have.Desired Settlement: I want multiple things including an apology for their horrible letter. It is trying to suggest that I don't have a choice and must use them to settle debt. I want them to stop using these letters all together as they are extremely misleading. I also want a national acknowledgement of their wrongdoing in their actions through multiple national media outlets (tv, magazine, newpaper, major websites, etc). If you think my requests are extreme, that is exactly how I feel about their demands for contacting them due to the structure of their letter. Organizations that pull these kinds of stunts in contacting individuals need to be held accountable for their actions and I suggest public shaming. This will also increase the profile of the Revdex.com by assisting with the public shaming of these organizations. Another option is to shut them down completely for their actions, but at a minimum I want to see them publicly shamed with the Revdex.com pushing for that.

I could request they pay me for my time in reading their letter, contacting them already to notify them that I am alerting the Revdex.com of their letter and actions, and then for my time in bringing this notice about. All I want is their acknowledgement that what they are doing is wrong and for them to cease and desist with these types of programs. Their coercion in requesting response is inexcusable. And these types of companies using these types of letters and contacts must be stopped.
