CS was to help with debt relief after being scammed. Capital One filed a lawsuit. They did nothing.
CS contacted us after being scammed by TMG/Collective Consulting Co.,in March of 2016 to help with erasing the debt. They convinced us to put most of our credit cards into their program. They charged us $9,000.00 to wipe out our credit card debt, which was put on two separate credit cards, that were then closed. We are still having to pay on those. Capital One filed a lawsuit against me using The Moore Law Group to collect the debt. CS did nothing to settle our debts or reduce them. I ended up doing all the calling and negotiating. I scanned and emailed all the correspondence to them. I started having a difficult time getting their Legal Department to respond to me. They were usually one word answers. I even asked them if they were still in business. The answer was to continue emailing them the papers even after a court date had been set and a Judgement had been given. I asked if they were taking care of it and the answer was yes. I had no reason to not believe them. I attempted to email the last set of papers from The Moore Group and it was "bounced" back as undeliverable. I tried several times to contact them with no response. That was when I discovered they had been closed down by the Florida District Attorneys Office. We were told this in writing: "Your money is put into an escrow account until we have earned our fee. Until that point the money is yours and available. Because of our large size, expertise and strict adherence to budget, we are able to be in it for the long haul with you." One of their other statements regard additional fees and interest and what to do was "...you do nothing, however, please be in regular contact with your assigned representative and follow the advice given. The credit card companies will continue to add many ridiculous fees, both legal and illegal as a was of intimating you. Do not allow yourself to be fooled by this tactic. They do this with the hopes of getting a bigger payoff if the account ever gets settled; this is a foolish attempt on their part to increase their negotiating leverage, we will fight this in its entirety and none of our clients will ever pay these fees." Well, I had to. I could not get ***, ***, or *** to call me back. I would leave messages at the main number of XXX-XXX-XXXX and they were not returned. Ms. phone number changed at least twice that I know of. We have at least another year that the credit card companies can file lawsuits against us to recoup their money. We were not notified that the business had been closed and I'm sure there had to have been a client list somewhere.

Desired Outcome

I want our $9,000.00 back. They didn't earn it. Supposedly the District Attorney has funds that were taken to pay back clients.

The Florida District Attorney's Office has closed the business down and our debt relief was not completed. We paid them $9,000.00 to help us with our debt relief. I found out they did almost nothing. They stopped responding to me a few months ago. When I would contact their Legal office for help or advice, the answers I received were very brief and incomplete and unhelpful. I am being sued by Capital One and they stopped responding to my emails and then they starting bouncing back as undeliverable. Turns out, they were basically a scam.

they were to eliminate my credit card debt. the debt was all fraud. They did not return any of my calls. The lawyers only called a few times.
I have paid them over 5,000.00 out of my checking account. this was to help pay for their help in getting the debt taken care of. In June 2017 in when they called me and said that they could help get me out of this situation. I talked to *** and to ***. I was approved to set up monthly payments of $250.00. this came out of my bank account automatic. I just tryed to call them today 29 May 2019. the phone has been disconected. Called the finance company and they have not been in contact with them since January 2018. They did not do what they said they would do.

Would like to get my money back that I paid them for not doing what they said they were going to do. This is bad business.

Consumer Shield based out of Florida did not fulfill their agreement to either get a settlement or have debts on two credit cards forgiven.
Approximately two years ago I entered into an agreement with Consumer Shield to eliminate debts owed on two credit cards. They sent several letters to me to sign to inform the credit card provider that they were taking over those accounts. I tried on several occasions to contact them for a progress report and was only able to talk with someone on one of my attempts, nor did I receive a reply to my emails. After noticing my credit score continuing to fall. Before then my credit score was in the upper 600's. I called and was told not to make anymore payments or be concerned about the credit score and that that was expected. Sadly, I followed their advice. But earlier this year (XXXX) I became concerned that I was not hearing anything from them, so I called and got a recorded message saying that their office was closed, and then I tried contacting them via an email address and the website only displayed an error message. I then called the Special Financing, LLC, whom I had been sending almost @4200.00 a month for two years. I attempted to have them to stop receiving money being sent to them and I was told that they had financed the cost of Consumer Shields service (lack thereof) and I would have to contact them to resolve any payment disputes and get the payments to stop. They also tried to contact them using information given to them and they couldn't contact them either. I was told to call them back in a week- which has not passed *** of the filing of this complaint. On the day that I called however, they debited my account for another payment. In the mean time, I had to call the credit card company and the debt collection agency to make a settlement, which I did. And the next day I went to my financial institution to stop any further payments to Special Financing, LLC. I refuse to pay them for services not rendered and the credit card companies too. Apparently there are several Consumer Shield businesses because when I first looked on the "Revdex.com" website, another company with the same name has a rating of "A+". The other Consumer Shield is an Insurance company. However, the one in Florida has a rating of "F". Even though it would have caused me undue financial hardship to continue paying the credit card company, those debts would be well on their way to being paid off. As it is, I have paid Special Financing. LLC. $2,000.00 plus, and, I still have the credit card debts of over $17,000.00.

Desired Outcome

Since it is obvious that the company, Consumer Shield, was only in business to scam people and take advantage of an unfortunate situation, I would like to obtain a refund of the money I gave to Special Financing, LLC., because my agreement wasn't with them, it was with Consumer Shield. Furthermore, I would like to make the public aware that the Consumer Shield who is supposedly a debt resolution business is a fraudulent entity. Regarding the next question...when did I last contact the business regarding this complaint? It was over a year ago. I contacted Special Financing, LLC. on the date specified below.

Company contacted me to inform they could help with my credit balance that I was having problems paying. They went on to take an extra 3000 dollars from my credit card as their fee.the promise was that within a year the debt woud be off my credit but over 3 years later that is still not the case.
They refuse to take my calls or answer my emails which leads me to believe this whole affair was a scam. I nd o have my 3000 dollars returned and my credit restored.

I need to have my $3000 returned and then if possible we can start to rebuild my credit.

The company called and has outlined a plan of action and I have decided to work with them to resolve this matter.

Collected $7500 for my debt collection service .
This company promised to help me dissolve my debt. I paid $7500 for the services and received little and no help. I feel being mislead to accepting their services.

Desired Outcome

This was wrongly advertised. Debt relief companies shouldn't collect money ahead of time. I would like them to complete the job as promised or I should receive a refund.

*** from Consumer Shield have reached out to help me resolve my case. Although the terms of the conditions have changed, I'm willing to work with this company to move forward. Please rescind my complaint.

I entered into contract with Consumer Shield in March 2016. They contacted me and knew more about my credit card debt than I did. After paying them the remainder amount I had left on my five credit cards, I received a welcome booklet which laid out what to expect. I also spoke with one of the associates who told me to not make anymore payments, sign the letters that would go out to the credit card companies informing them that they were representing me and to lay back and relax, it will take time but we will release you from your debt or you'll pay cents on the dollar. Well, instead they waited until I was sued by each one, then did nothing. I had to go to court myself, by myself and represent myself. I still owe $33K which I can't pay because I have nothing. I entered into this debt as a stupid consumer believing I could have a successful online business to supplement my social security after my husband's death. I was lied to. The "you'll make that money back within a month," was a scam. Consumer Shield convinced me that the credit card companies were at fault for giving me the money. Consumer Shield I believe sold me a bill of goods that was false and even today I can't get anyone from there to answer my calls are give me documents in my file to use for my own defense in court.

I did not received the service that this company claim that they would do for me. They did not fulfill the agreement
I lost my job back in fall of 2015 and was contacted by Consumer Shield in early 2016. They called me several times stating how they can reduce my credit card amount down below 10% of what I owe within 6-8 months and rebuild my credit. This has not happen. I have done what they ask for and I never get an update on my case and I have to call and ask what is going on. There was one credit card that was resolved but they let it go to court and I ended up having a judgment against me because they fail to negotiate with the credit card company. There employee *** gave me the wrong info which allow the judgment to be filed against me and it cost me about additional $4000.00 to settle the case. There are 3 more credit cards that have not been settle and I can't get any resolution on them. They have not provided with the service that they sold to me. My credit was near 850 and never miss a payment in my life until they talked me into this and now my credit is ruin. If I had to do it over I would of just worked something out with the card company.

I would like for this company to fulfill there obligation of our agreement or to have my money refunded in full that I paid them plus the addition amount that I had to pay for there incompetence when they did not accept the agree upon amount from the one credit card company which cost me an additional $4000.00 and the cost of there service of $7725.00. Total amount $11725.00 Thank you

After being contacted by Consumer Shield stating that they would renegotiate my credit card debt, the maxed out my credit cards to the sum of 6 thousand dollars and closed all my accounts.After ruining my credit I am being sued and have had to retain a lawyer. After numerous attempts to contact them by phone, and e-mail,which they state their new hours are 10AM to 1PM. They have not replied as to the status of my case.
