Review: My 87-year old mother, [redacted],( I do have POA for her) was duped into allowing an automatic withdrawl of $396.00 from checking account for "theft idenity insurance" on January 22, 2013. We contacted the company and was told she would get a complete refund of money. This was in February and still have not gotten refund. We contacted Consumers First on 2/21/13, 3/20/13, 4/1/13, 4/8/13, 4/12/13, 4/29/13, 5/6/13, 5/13/13, by telephone and was told each time that the check #[redacted] was in the mail. Have never recieved any money, notice, or anything from them. Left message with department supervisor on 5/13/13, [redacted], that we were filing formal complaints.Desired Settlement: Payment in full for the amount of $396.00.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Our records show that a refund was sent to [redacted], our records also show that the refunds check was cashed. I hope this helps and closes this file.

Thank you,

Review: First Consumers called in April about bank fraud protection and for a one time charge of $396.00 I would have protected from bank fraud. After receiving my banking info I told then I wasn't interested. On 5-1-13 they did a electronic withdrawal from may account for $396.00. In late May I call [redacted] and spoke to a [redacted] told him I didn't authorize a payment or want fraud protection; He said I would receive a refund of $396.00 . On 7-5-13 I spoke to [redacted] again he said check would be mail in 10 day. I called back on 8-5-13 [redacted] said check was mailed 8-1-13. Didn't receive check so I call [redacted] on 8-21-13 ,he said old check would be canceled and new check would be mailed 8-23-23; as of now have not received refund and doubtful that I will not .Desired Settlement: Refund of $396.00

Response:

Dear [redacted],

In reference to the complaint filed by [redacted], it would be my pleasure to provide details for this transaction. [redacted] ordered services from our company in May 2013, she authorized payment on recording which we can provide if needed. The services she ordered can be canceled with a full refund within sixty days of ordering them providing the client has not used the services. Our records show that [redacted] only requested a cancellation in August 2013 therefore she would of been well over the allotted sixty day cancellation policy and her refund was denied. That being said I prefer to maintain good relations with clients and of course the Revdex.com therefore I will reverse this decision and have the full refund issued. Please allow 10 to 15 days for the refund.

Sincerely,

Review: I have a joint account with my mother [redacted]. On April 30th this company created an electronic check stating "no signature required" for 396.10. My mother is 87 years old and has difficulty understanding things. We strongly believe she has been targeted by fraudulent companies that have attained her bank account information through deceptive means. The company has replied that she has ordered something to do with lower cost prescription medicines of which she would have no use for as she is taken care of for free as a full blooded indian in Oklahoma.Desired Settlement: We need this to be refunded ASAP or there will be further actions taken

Response:

Dear [redacted]

We do not have enough information to respond to this complaint. Please provide us with the clients full name and her telephone number, the information listed in the complaint does not match anything in our records.

Thank you,

Review: This company somehow got my mother's name ([redacted]), address ([redacted] bank name ([redacted] and checking account number and wrote a check drawn from her account payable to themselves for $369. The check is payable to First Consumers. I tried to send you a copy of the check but your site wold not accept it from My Documents folder. No idea why not. There is a phone number on the check, which I now have a copy of, and they actually answer when I've called. That phone number is[redacted]. Four times now they promised my mother would be reimbursed, and that they'd and send her a check. Although the check would probably not be a good check, they lied about sending it four times. They are obviously running some kind of scam and stealing people's money. I'm hoping the Revdex.com will contact the ** state attorney general and the FBI. I'm sure my mother is not the only one they have victimized. If anyone at the Revdex.com can respond to this, please do. Thanks for your time and any help you could provide. Hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: A refund - and any necessary action to prevent this company from stealing from others. They can be reached at the phone number given in the complaint above.

Subject: Complaint on behalf of [redacted]

To: "[redacted]

Dear [redacted]

My complaint ID is [redacted]

I am [redacted] and am my mother's caretaker. Her name is [redacted].

She lives at [redacted], as do I for the past five

years. She is now 91 years old and doesn't remember very much any more.

For some time now, my name has been on all her bank accounts, and I monitor

transactions to help keep track of everything. That's how I discovered the check

for $369 that prompted my complaint. I have attached a copy of that check and

am hoping, of course, that you can open it and view it without any problem.

I did try to copy and paste a copy of the check into this email but could not.

Just so you will know, and in case the attachment won't open for you, this is exactly

what the check contains, and looks like:

__________________________________________________________________

Pay to the

Order of: FIRST CONSUMERS $369.00

Three Hundred Sixty Nine Dollars and 00/100

MEMO: [redacted] This draft authorized by your depositor

No Signature Required

_______________________________________________________________________

On the back of the check are these numbers and letters, which include the date and

what appears to be a time, perhaps when the check was written - ?

[redacted] 2013/02/14 17:08:18

SUSQ [redacted]

FOR DEPOSIT ONLY

___________________________________________________________________

As I mentioned on the phone, it does seem odd that they'd include a phone number on

the check and actually answer the phone when I've called. Four times now, they assured

me that the $369 would be returned. They were supposed to send a check but none has

arrived as yet. On my fourth call on Friday, 3/14, they said the check had been mailed on

Friday morning. Doubt it, but am still somewhat hopeful.

I greatly appreciate your time and any assistance you may be able to provide in helping

my mother recover her money. If there is any additional information you need, please

let me know.

Thanks again. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Review: On April 17, 2013 Consumers First authorized a payment for $396.00 to be taken out of my bank account. I had never spoken to them before this incident. Due to this unauthorized payment, my bank account was overdrafted $420.49. On April 24, 2013 I spoke with Consumers First over the phone and was told I would receive a refund check in the mail with in 5-7 business days. As of May 13, I still hadn't received payment so I called and the lady told me I should have it by the end of the week. On June 3, 2013 at 4:10pm I had my daughter in law called and was told it was mailed out on May 24, 2013, and should be receiving it. As of May 30, 2013 still no payment was received so she called again and was told they had changed banks and it would be sent out on June 5, 2013 and if she didn't receive it by June 14, 2013 to call back. On June 19, 2013 my daughter in law called again and spoke with [redacted] and was told they didnt understand why she hadn't received it yet and guaranteed she would receive it by June 21, 2013 and they put a flag on it, and his supervisor was going to keep checking it and would call me if there was a problem. On June 28. 2013 @ 7:30 pm my daughter in law called to speak with some one and got a recording stating " the office is now closed, please call back during normal business hours which are 9am-10pm, Eastern Standard Time".Desired Settlement: I would like to have the amount of $420.49 refunded to me. This amount includes the $396.00 plus the overdraft charge of $32.00. They should not be allowed to continue there business.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

I am pleased to inform you that a refund in the amount of $396.00 was sent to Miss Dorman on June 28, 2013.

Sincerely,

Review: In May, 2013 my check account was unauthorized drafted in the twice in the same month in the amount of $198.00. My bank representative from [redacted] Federal Savings [redacted] has been unsuccessful in obtaining a refund. They claim that these charges were authorized but I didn't provide anybody with my personal account information over the phone with all the identity theft going on. In addition, I wouldn't authorize $198.00 for service to protect my credit cards. I have been contacting the company once a week and they keep promising to refund my money. I am extremely frustrated I am senior citizen and recently lost for my husband about a month ago. I feel like a victim since this company has targeted and preyed among the elderly. I really need this company to return my funds now that I am widow and every little bit counts. Any assistance regarding this matter would be greatly. I just pray that this situation can be resolved and this company can stop making promises to return my money and actually it.Desired Settlement: I would like to finally be able to receive my refund from this company ASAP as they been promising me since June.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

[redacted] refund was processed and issued. Please take note that we have issued two checks for $198.00 each with checks number [redacted] and [redacted].

Should you or [redacted] have anymore questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Review: In May 2013 after receiving my bank statement, I noticed a check for the amount of $396.10 had been taken from my bank account by Frist Consumers. Upon calling them, they told me it was for a medicine process of obtaining my medicine for a cheaper amount. I have [redacted] insurance so I do not need a service they say they provide. I did not authorize this deduction from my account. I have contacted First Consumers several times and have spoken to many people. I have spoken to [redacted] and even a supervisor named [redacted]. I was told the check had been cut on September 4th and mailed on September 6th. After many calls I have now been told the check was cut on September 16 and mailed on September 20th. I would like to see a resolution to this problem.. I went to the back and they gave me a copy of the check. The check is not one of mine. The names do not appear on the check that I have on my original checks. The address is spelled incorrectly. It was an electronic signature. The back of the check shows for deposit only. The number on the check does not correspond with my check numbers. I have tried to resolve this issue myself but this is not working.Desired Settlement: To obtain the amount of #396.10 that they took from my account unauthorized

Dear [redacted],

[redacted] ordered services from our company in May 2013. [redacted] claims she never authorized the transaction but in fact she did, her authorization was obtained on recording (of which a copy can be sent to you or [redacted] upon request) I have verified with our billing department and they have confirmed a refund check number [redacted] was sent to [redacted] on September 20, 2013.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you or [redacted] require anything further.

I have received the check that First consumers said they were issuing me. They told me they cut the check on the 16th of September and it would be mailed on September 20th of 2013. The check arrived September 25th. I did not keep a copy of the check so now I am unsure of the date the check was cut. It is apparent they cut and sent the check after this complaint was made. Thank you for the help in this matter. This matter is resolved after 5 months of fighting with them.

Review: This company called my elderly mother about fraud insurance. Unfortunately when she hears the word insurance she thinks her health coverage. She was talked into giving them her checking account information, they then used an electronic check in the amount of $396. We have been unable to get her refund after many attempts. Oh, no "fraud" coverage papers have ever been received. I am sure this group makes great money off our elderly.Desired Settlement: My mother needs her money back. At 88 she lives on a fixed income and this has been a hardship.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. At this time we have deposited the check and are waiting to see if it's good..

Regards,

Review: I am a licensed insurance agent in the state of [redacted]. An elderly client of mine contacted me saying her account had been drafted for over $300 by a company of which she was unaware of authorizing. The company had contacted her numerous times of which she informed them she was not interested. She stated that the same woman often called but that they often stated different company names than when they would previously call in an effort to keep her from ending the call. I assisted in calling the company back with [redacted](my Client)present. The company has claimed a check for refund has been placed in the mail but that they cannot electronically refund the money to her account the same way they debuted it. The supposed supervisor hung up on me intentionally in the process and we had to call back. [redacted] was led to believe that this company was a pharmaceutical company that wanted to ship her medications and said that they were affiliated with [redacted], which is a medicare advantage plan for seniors. As I have researched this company's website they have nothing to do with pharmaceuticals. I believe [redacted] was mis-led over the telephone. The only portion of the recorded call that the company would play for me over the phone was just her authorization and giving of her acount info. They could not provide the contents of the conversation prior. Also I litterally could not understand any of the rushed authorization which was done by a person that barely spoke english. It is obviouse [redacted] was misled with intiality to secure a sale. Please look into this company. I have been serving senior citizens for years and have came across several of these shauty telemarketing companies that prey on vulnerable seniors. I believe this is very well another. Thank you and God Bless.Desired Settlement: Just that [redacted] recieve her money back asap as she has no funds now to pay her electricity bill for the month. Also that if this company is found to not be operating above board that they conform or either be placed out of business.

Dear [redacted]

Review: I am writing this for my mom who is [redacted]. Back in April, she received a phone call from this business. She is 85 years old and thought this business was giving her information about drug insurance. She did not recall ever giving out her bank information but when she received her statement later that month, she noticed there was $297 taken from her account from this company. I am helping her with this. I have called them twice and they said they would cancel this order (have no idea what it's for) and she has never received anything from them in return for this withdrawal from her account. I was told on May 7th that they had tried to call my mom to verify her address before sending her check. She had not received any phone call. I was told on the 7th they would get the authorization from their billing dept to issue a check and it would be to mom within 5 business days. Today is May 17th and she has not received anything.

My name is [redacted] and the cell phone number and email address are mine as my mom has neither. The fax number is also for me.Desired Settlement: I want this company to issue mom a check and and to be specific when calling these older people to explain what they are selling.

If this is not a legitimate business, please do something about them so others aren't scammed.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Our refund policy states that a clients address needs to be confirmed before any refund check is sent. [redacted] address was confirmed on June 7th, 2013 therefore she will be receiving her refund no later than June 28th, 2013. I hope this information helps settle this complaint.

Sincerely,

Review: On March 28,2013 I recieved a call from this company,I did enroll and was told fund would be withdrawn in monthly payments, the rep was [redacted].On the following 4 days I checked my account and the full amount of $396.00 was deducted from my account,I called on April 2,2013 and spoke with [redacted] and was told he would cancel everything and a refund check would be sent out. I have over the last 3 months have talked to a rep once a week and been told over and over the check is in the mail. Still no check.I called this pass Tuesday and was told the same thing. The rep Anna Marie told me the same thing again.I have written and called, now I feel like I am getting the run a round. All I want is my refund and it should not take 3 months for any mail to be sent out,or maybe their office is on the moon.Hoping you can help to get this matter taken care of.[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like them to sent me my check as they have stated over the last 3 months.
