I had so many questions and Tom D answered all of them with patience and respect.....no matter how many times I went in to see him. He worked on different ideas for my small kitchen, something I could not imagine, And when he showed his suggestions..I could visualize how it would look. When I went in one night to Consumers Kitchens and Baths, Tom was off and Charles was there and helped me. My experience with Consumers Kitchens and Baths in East Meadow has been wonderful and I would recommend them
For your remodeling projects.

Dear ***,
Thank you for the great review. We're glad we were able to help and we hope to be of help in the future.

I am in the middle of renovating my kitchen and while I received my cabinets a few days ago when I opened the boxes I found 3 cabinets were broken, they were all cracked at the base. This is horrible quality control. This has delayed my renovation for numerous weeks, w/o a kitchen.
I would stay away from consumers if you want quality cabinets.

We apologize for the inconvenience. In reviewing your order, we discovered that one damaged cabinet and panel were reported after delivery on 11/25. After replacements were delivered on 12/19, an additional cabinet from the original order was reported damaged on 12/24 and once again promptly ordered by our service department.
While rare, shipping and handling of natural wood components sometimes results in concealed damage. Delays can be minimized if all products are inspected within 10 days of delivery and before your existing kitchen is removed. We urge all of our customers to take these important measures in writing on our sales contract.

I purchased several Bertch Centennial bathroom cabinets in February 2019. The cabinets were installed in April and we saw that the Centennial pattern on the two lower center drawers was defective. We immediately contacted both Bertch and Consumers. After multiple emails and phone calls, Consumers agreed, on 5/, to replace the drawer fronts. After several incorrect shipments from Bertch, we finally received the correct drawer fronts in early August. To my surprise, the drawer fronts were not pre-drilled, nor were there installation instructions or templates. I am not a cabinet maker and do not feel it was my responsibility to perform the installation since this was a defect direct from the factory. At the end of August, Consumers stated that they would install the drawer fronts. I hand delivered the drawers and drawer fronts and picked them up a few days later. Unfortunately, when I put the drawers back into the cabinet, one drawer front was installed crooked, and the other too high on the drawer. So after 4 months since the original cabinet installation, I still do not have a vanity that meets my expectations for a Bertch product. Additionally, the top drawer does not properly close without being manually forced closed.

Consumers is ordering all 2 new drawer boxes with new drawer fronts and drawer glides. Once the order arrives, we will deliver and install the drawers in the vanity. We can not drill holes for the hardware installation.I will advise of the sales order number and the approximate arrival date once the order is acknowledged and confirmed by the manufacturer.

I had a great experience and recommend everyone to use Consumers Kitchens & Baths. Can't wait to do my next project with them, my salesperson was very knowledgeable and patient.

Last January, we had a major leak in our kitchen that required almost half of it to be gutted. This prompted us to begin a renovation that we probably would’ve waited a few more years to do. That being said, we visited a few stores and began working with a design consultant to create the kitchen of our dreams. However, we quickly realized the company we were using was choosing the priciest items when working on our design, didn’t have many quartz countertop options, and wasn’t clearly communicating information regarding the cabinetry. That’s when we decided to visit Consumers Kitchen and Bath in ***. We briefly met with a design consultant and shared our vision and information that we gathered up to that point. She was absolutely amazing! Although she had another appointment within the hour, G took time to review our design plans and to share what Consumers had to offer. We had such a good feeling about her and what Consumers had to offer that we cut ties with the other company and made an appointment to review a design plan and to actually start picking out cabinets for our kitchen. Consumers had a fantastic selection that was beautiful, well rated, and much more cost effective than the other company we were working with. Throughout most of our renovation, I returned to Consumers multiple times for each phase of our project. They were the only company that provided such a large and beautiful selection of quartz. I was even able to go to the warehouse to view slabs of our potential choices. I was always kept up to date about what was going on with my order and felt like G really cared about our renovation. She always answered my e-mails whenever I had questions and was thorough making sure that all measurements were correct. I would highly recommend Consumers Kitchen and Bath if you are remodeling or constructing a new kitchen. I can only speak on the design consultant we worked with, but she was amazing. She went through every cabinet and drawer with me to make sure it was what I wanted (roll out, shelving, storage, etc.). Overall, Consumers pricing was less expensive than others. However, I found their quality, selection, and design services to be superior. In the end, my kitchen came out absolutely beautiful and it really is the kitchen of my dreams!

From start to finish, Consumers Kitchens & Baths made renovating our kitchen a pleasure. We had a tough space with to contend with, so we put the renovation off for years. Our designer was Patrick C. He is an expert! We gave him our vision of what we wanted the kitchen to look like and he came back with a design that utilized all of our space. His design was way beyond what we ever dreamt our kitchen could be! We originally sat down with a designer at ***. As a second opinion, we went to Consumers. Save yourself the trip (and the 5 hour appointment at ***) and go directly to Consumers! We will be renovating our bathroom in January, so I will definitely be calling on them again!

Back in March, my wife and I went to consumers for a kitchen remodel. The salesman created a layout for us and worked with us to help pick out cabinets. He told us it was a 6 week turnaround to have the cabinets delivered which was fine. He pressured us that day to leave a deposit on the cabinets saying that this would make his quota. Though we certainly didn’t like his tactic, we were set on buying the cabinets so we put the deposit down. All paperwork we were given, listed May 7 as the delivery date. In the next 1-2 weeks we went back and forth with the salesman signing paperwork and standard things like that. That entire time the salesman continued to assure us that we were still on track for a May 7 delivery. A few weeks later I hadn’t heard from anyone at consumers so I decided to call just to make sure everything was still on schedule as was previously told to us by the salesman. I called 4 straight days to the salesman and ultimately the manager, left messages but could not get a hold of either of them. So my wife and I decided to go to the store so we could just get an answer to our very simple question. When we went there we spoke with the manager who told us that May 7 was never a realistic possibility from the beginning and he was not sure why the salesman would have told us that date and put it in writing. To his credit, he waived the delivery fee and gave us a discount on the countertop. He told us the end of May would be more realistic and he was right as the cabinets were delivered on May 26. However, as part of our order, we had one cabinet that has glass doors. When presented with option we chose to purchase the glass through consumers expecting it to arrive with the rest of the order rather than going to a glazer for the glass. The glass was not in the original delivery. The manager assured us that the glass would arrive by June 1. It did not and again we had a lot of difficulty getting in touch with the people who work there. When we were finally able to reach someone they said the glass was backordered and that it would arrive by June 27. That day came and went without a phone call from the store and again we had trouble connecting with someone at the store. When we did finally reached someone they said they’d look into it but never called us back. In the meantime, we also discovered that we were sent the wrong size shelves for our pantry cabinets (or the holes were predrilled incorrectly) so we wanted to have the correct size shelves sent to us as well. As we continued to have difficulty reaching someone at the Holbrook store, customer service put us in touch with the manager at the copaigue store who looked into both of these issues. He explained that the glass had been lost in the warehouse weeks ago but he other manager and salesman didn’t tell me. So he ordered the glass again as well as the shelves. Both of those were just delivered yesterday, August 14. However, we were supposed to receive 3 shelves and only received 2. The lack of professionalism and communication from the holbrook store was extremely disappointing and caused our kitchen remodel to fall behind by months and forced us to schedule and cancel with other professionals such as electricians and plumbers numerous times. The issues I’ve described above would not have been a big deal had I just received a phone call from someone at the store explaining that there was a delay. On each occasion the date they gave us came and went without any communication from consumers. Additionally it took several phone calls and a few in person visits to consumers to finally speak to someone. I am extremely disappointed with my customer service experience and will never purchase anything from them again.
