this customer did come into the shop and had a correspondence with me (***) about certain functions that he was looking for in an alarm such as GPS tracking, that the alarms we sell just do not havei told him that *** electronics had a kit that had the specific functions he was after and that
he could buy the system elsewhere and that I could install it for himwe are not a *** dealer, so as with any wainstallation, he was told that we would warranty our work, but could not warranty any product not bought through usafter installation, all features were tested and did work, as well as tested with the customer when he picked up the vehicle.at this time no complaints were made.the customer called in on day complaining that the key fob was malfunctioningnot being a *** dealer, I had no way of remedying this particular problem for him so I suggested that he contact the re-seller and get a new key fob under their warrantyhe came back again another day and wanted me to disable the alarm chirp, which was done on site through the *** alarm feature settingsagain at this point he had lodged zero complaints about any other part of the alarm system and from that day forward I never heard from him again until he requested a copy of his receipt, which I promptly gave him.the unlock/lock on remote start is a *** function which could have been fixed in settings in less than a few minutes if requested.like I stated earlier we warranty all labor on products installed, so at any time, he could have asked for me to fix, or remove the alarm at absolutely zero cost to him.the camera and control system he purchased was installed correctly to the instructions of the manufacturerbeing as its a surveillance camera, it of course would need power even if the truck is turned offthe control box senses key-off power and then after a moment the camera would make the announcement "now recording"upon pickup, and on one of his return dates we discussed this function and I told him that when wired, I seemed unable to switch between functions on the controller itselfi offered to call the company and see what they said and he told me he would read up on it and figure it out.as for the purchase on amazon itself, that's a buyer beware situation, you need to check your sources instead of going for the lowest price option, the unit could have easily been refurbished, who's to say? i've installed more than one *** alarm bought online, only to have certain components unusable directly out of the boxin EVERY one of these situations the customer was able to get either partial or full replacement of the entire alarm system, these were all bought on amazonwhich if I did recommend amazon (which I honestly cannot remember) its because of those experiences that amazon protected its buyers and facilitated replacementthey most likely could have done a dissatisfaction claim and refunded his money as well.in short, any and all of this could have been fixed (except for the key fob issue which would need to be remedied by the retailer) or removed completely at no cost to the customer had he simply just brought these issues to my attention and asked for repair.thank you,***

i'm sorry but if there was nothing that could be done to fix the installation, we would have easily removed it and given all your money back for the labor the same day as removal.everything is fixablesilent modes not working are not an installation fault, its an internal computing fault. auto start turning off after minutes is a selectable option that can be modifiedwhen there are obvious faults with something you have purchased, like the remote barely working, in no way are we liable, or can we fix that for youyou were instructed to contact the company that SOLD you the defective unityou are the one that said you bought it from ***i can in no way confirm or deny who your actual retailer was.for instance if you had bought the alarm at best buy, and had us install it, you could have still returned it to them as defective, if that was determined the casewhich with how the remote was functioning from day one, I would have done if I were youContacted the company you bought it from directly and had a replacement sentwe have had customers do it quite a few timesnot a single time was it an installation error.again you never once told me the remote start was malfunctioning, which I would have taken whatever extra time was needed to remedy the problem at no cost to youinstead you went somewhere else and had it removed, at that point you are denying us the opportunity to take the steps needed to determine faultand also as an installer I do have access to *** installer tech support and have had to use them to fix issues on more than one occasionso the opportunity to make this right was there, but you forfeited
