[redacted], aka - Container Home Consultants, Alex K[redacted] just needs to do the right thing and refund the $1,800 + because pre-design was NEVER delivered.

Sincerely,[redacted]

My mother told me that you can measure a person by their "outbursts".  In response to Ms. [redacted]'s flowery attacks... (A) We didn't "threaten" [redacted] when her project failed (in either written or verbal form), despite her claims to the contrary.Rather, after she filed a claim with the Revdex.com, we advised them that the matter was under peer and legal review. Very rarely in our experience does a project fall down. So, this review is sometimes necessary in order to resolve disputes over tendered services. In these rare cases where projects fail, it's customary to subject the case to financial and legal review to determine resolution. That she saw this review as a "threat" is bewildering. In our experience (well documented by her outrageous claims of late) Ms. [redacted] is difficult to deal with. Dealing with Ms. [redacted] was like pulling out your own teeth with rusty pliers. She was more focused on the philosophical than the practical. While she may have had the best of intentions, her execution proved her undoing.    (B) The manner in which Ms. [redacted] portrayed herself  still remains unclear and unproven. She isn't a "philanthropic real estate developer with many projects under her belt" as she portrayed herself. There is no legal record of her active philanthropy entity defined in Texas records, or in any other state for that matter. We spoke with the Secretary of State in Texas and could not uncover or document her claims. Thinking that we were working (as portrayed) with a low-income philanthropic housing initiative (an initiative that we are heavily invested in globally), we went to great lengths to support her. We exhausted many hours on the phone with her building her education base and helping her to define resources. We contacted vendors and manufacturers that were willing to contribute to her "philanthropic project", resources that could not substantiate her claims as an active  philanthropy, except by her own description.  Project histories couldn't be found either to support these claims.Ms. [redacted] is actually a rental property owner seeking to build low cost housing for personal profit in a lower income neighborhood in Houston.(C) Attempts to guide Ms. [redacted] through the pre-design process were mired in her inability to grasp scope of her project or to remain focused. There were constant steps sideways. That and a dozen other factors made trying to leap her housing project forward like trying to swim in molasses. It's for those reasons that we finally fired her as a client. It became clear that forward progress was impossible and Ms. [redacted] was wasting company time and resources. My own colleagues urged me to pull the plug on the project several times as they were exposed to it's gyrations.  As the project stagnated, I personally advised her that her best path was either to focus on her project or abandon it. (D) In reference to the container/Paypal action; we shipped a container to her location in Texas from Mississippi, only to determine that her site was underwater in Houston flash floods. It's called "force du jur". We had no control over the weather. When the container was redirected to San Antonio because of the extensive flooding, it was "lost" in a military shipping container convoy in the same railyards. Insurance claims followed, to date still unsettled. This isn't uncommon. The US Army frequently transports containers in error. Ms. [redacted] was advised of the shipping problems and progress in a timely manner.  As we attempted (at our own expense and on our own time) to resolve the missing container issue (a container that we secured for her at cost, no less),  Ms. [redacted] advised Paypal (the originator of the transaction) that she was unhappy with the transaction. She has every right to do that. As a result, Paypal refunded her container deposit. Paypal bases their operation on customer satisfaction and often businesses who tendered services in good faith sometimes bear the brunt of that. It's just the nature of the business.    As to her claims that we "neglected her";(E) Ms. [redacted]'s project and project scope changed several times during pre-design. It's hard to define a project that is constantly changing, seemingly at whim, based on whatever salvaged materials and insights/opinions she can find locally. Ms. [redacted] expected us to take on the role of designers, educators, contractors and developers despite clear and concise definitions of our involvement as Architectural Design Development in her project. We revisited this often as Ms. [redacted] sought to manipulate us into taking roles of responsibility not defined. Despite her initial descriptions of skills, as a General Contractor or Developer, Ms. [redacted] proved herself to be lacking in the required skills to execute the project successfully. While she claims that we were inattentive, we documented over 50 emails and numerous conference calls between us. Contrary to her claims, several documents circulated between us promoting design concepts and floorplans of her project. Clients provide funding to secure consulting hours to progress projects. Consulting on a housing project isn't one-sided, it requires positive progress on both sides to be successful. Ms. [redacted] was tendered more hours of consulting time than she secured, ultimately at our expense. In the final analysis, we fired Ms. [redacted] as a client because she wasn't up to the task of addressing and completing a housing project of this magnitude. As her frustration mounted, she became more and more difficult to deal with. We're not talking about the construction of a multi-unit housing project. We're talking about the production of a 2 bdrm/1 bath single family dwelling. At best, Ms. [redacted] enthusiasm failed to match her experience or abilities. At worst, we feel that [redacted] was simply "educating herself on our dime". As this occurred, Ms. [redacted] made it clear that she was seeking employment in another state and had no clear definition of the completion of her Houston project. Our view (in light of any evidence to the contrary) is that Ms. [redacted]'s project was influenced by a lack of developing funds due to personal financial situations/conditions and sought an easy way out.  Communication issues complicated the process. The easiest way out was to blame someone else. It's classic misdirection. Ms. [redacted] seeks to disguise her failure by making loud noises and acting/ranting like a child. We're... quite frankly not impressed. In light of the circumstances surrounding this fiasco, as previously stated, we referred this entire matter to legal review and litigation (if necessary) will resolve it.  [redacted]
After communications with our legal counsel, we're not going to participate in this further. While we're positive that Ms. [redacted] will continue to dispute and defame our character, decades of successful projects built by families across the United States will attest to our endeavors and our passion to help families secure safe, affordable housing.

Complaint: [redacted]
Alex,
Thank you for responding so quickly, and clearly you did not look up best practices on how to respond to a business complaint.  Your response, your threat, doesn’t exhibit professionalism nor reflect...

any ethical standards.  You didn’t even extend common courtesy like acknowledge my feelings of being wronged or apologize that you have robbed me $1,863.00 for a pre-design drawing which you never delivered.  No effort on your part to settle, just a threat.  WOW!  That is really pathetic.

Does www.containerhomeconsultants.com or the [redacted], [redacted] or your other companies have a policy on refunding clients money when YOU don’t deliver the goods?  It is a good business practice to deliver what people pay you for Alex K[redacted].  It is not a good business practice to take people’s money and and never deliver the goods.
Fact # 1.  I paid you a lot of money in December 2015 to provide pre-design drawings for a container home through a PAY PAL account embedded on your website that promotes the sale of your book - which BTW is outdated and really needs to be revised.
Fact # 2.  After stalling and stalling with tactics like, You were in the hospital, you were traveling to Brazil to build container communities for the Olympics (that was a good one), you were waiting on trusses for whatever - you never did deliver pre-design drawings for which I paid for in advance.
Fact. # 3.  I finally asked for a refund nearly 7 months after paying you (because I trusted you and I am way too nice) because after all the excuses and stalling you had lost all credibility and my trust and you wouldn’t deliver. Really sad that when I finally asked for a refund it was first time you ignored my email.
Fact. # 4.  PayPal did get some of the money I paid you for a container because THEY have a company policy about businesses NOT delivering services/products when payment is received and since you didn’t have integrity to do the same, THEY refunded my money for you.  10 Points for Pay Pal - ZERO for K[redacted] aka Containerhomeconsultants.com.
Fact. # 5.  $1,863.00 is still owed back to me Alex and I want my money back.
Fact # 6:  I expected pre-design drawings for my container home per conversations, emails and invoice. I got NOTHING, except for excuses, excuses, excuses.

Are you going to do the right thing?  Or are you going to hide behind a threat like the one you responded with to my initial claim to the Revdex.com or just more of the same - nothing?

Thank you Alex K[redacted], [redacted] for showing me a great example of how an unethical business person works - tactics they use, especially the stalling tactics.  Ripping me off $1,863.00  will cause me to be smarter next time, less trusting, less patient, less kind.
Sincerely,[redacted]
