I am a single mother of 3 small children and this HVAC installer was happy to take my $7K deposit to install heating and air conditioning into my home, but more than 5 months have passed and I still have no heat or cold air blowing in my home. No equipment has ever been delivered by the installer. IT's COLD outside. My family needs heat.

I hired this HVAC installer to install 2 furnaces, and 2 condensers, and run all new ductwork in the home. There are two distinct parts of this job:
Part 1: Provide heat and central air conditioning to TWO ZONES (3rd and 2nd floor) of the home. Deliver 2 major pieces of equipment (97% efficient furnace and condenser). Furnace to be located in attic and condenser outside of house.
Part 2: Provide heat and central air conditioning to THREE ZONES (1st floor, basement 3rd, and porch room) of the home. Deliver 2 major pieces of equipment (97% efficient furnace and condenser). Furnace to be located in the basement and condenser outside of the house. Removal of old heating system.

The installer accepted my $7K deposit for this $32K full job in May 2018. The installer promised to start the project immediately and I was looking forward to running my central AC in the summer of 2018. Between May and August, the installer provided many excuses to explain his long delays, but the delays became unreasonable. Despite that the installer had full access to my home all summer long, the summer ended with me having no central AC and no equipment installed. We are now in the fall season and it is cold outside. I need the job finished so that my home can be properly heated. The weather is foretasted to be 20 degrees tomorrow. It is unreasonable that 5 months after accepting the deposit, the installer is no where near completion and hasn't even delivered one heating unit.

Lastly, I repeatedly requested the installer to pull a permit for the job and to date, the installer has yet pulled a permit. I need the installer to follow the law and obtain the appropriate permits.

In short - I hired the installer to provide a service and as of today, he has failed to deliver the service. If he is unwilling to deliver the service in a reasonable time frame,, then I want a refund of my deposit so that I can hire someone else.

Have used The Conte’s for several years and find them competent ,reliable and extremely fair in pricing. They have at times reattached wiring instead of replacing a component which is very unusual in the world of replace everything.
