On Dec 16, Conte door service send a worker to my house for fixing the garage door. He looked at my garage door opener and said Your opener was too old, you better changed to a new one. After he finished the installation He gave me one remote control and a bill of Chamberlain HD200D $175.00, labor $125 and tax $11.32 and tell me that his boss want me to pay the bill before he leave. I paid him $311.32. After the worker left, I looked at and fond out the model HD200D that he installed in my house was only cost $122 and the labor that Conte installed for Home Deport was only $99. I suddenly feel that I was cheated. Because they did not tell me advance about the model they will install in my house has only one remote control and has no keypad. And they did not tell me advance that they are going to charge me labor of $125 instead of $99 that they installed for Home Deport. On 12/17, I called the owner that I am going to order a new and the same model garage door opener and ship to his house. And he has to return $175 to me. But he rejected. Since he did not tell me advance that the model he installed has only one remote control and has no keypad. He should decrease the price from $175 to $150 Because if he let me know advance, I will not let him installed. Because now most of the garage door opener are include two remote controls and a keypad. If he agree to charge me $150 instead of $175, he will still make $28 more than Chamberlain company. For labor he should charge me $99 the same as he did for home deport. Since I was trust him. I thought he should charge me the reasonable price. But he was not, he charged me $53 more than Chamberlain company for the opener. Settlement 2, He return $50 to me, $25 for not let me know in advance about it include only one remote control and has no keypad for "HD200D" garage door opener, and another $25 for overcharge labor.Business Response This is what we aggreed upon to solve her problem.Final Consumer Response On December 23, I talked to Conte Door Service and they agreed to return my check of $311.32 and remove the Chamberlain HD200D (They told me the serial number on the Chamberlain HD200D belongs to Conte Door Serivce which would not allow me to obtain any warranty on the product). Conte Door Service told me to purchase a garage door opener of my choice which includes installation charge directly with Home Depot. They will then act as the subcontractor on behalf of Home Depot and install the garage door that I purchased. Conte Door Service will ultimately get paid directly by Home Depot. I agree with this resolution.Consumer Response Dear Christina,I have not received my refund check yet. I called Conte Door Serve this morning. They said that they checked out the check of $311.32 on 12/31/2013. But they agree to return $311.32 back to me later. They said they are going to come to my house to take down the one that already installed and return me the money that I already paid. Since I do not want to have my garage door without opener, So, I ask them to give me some time to do the arrangement.Please do not close this case yet. One of four door panels is shorter than the others.I ordered two garage doors. I paid someone to install the doors separately, and he injured himself before he could install the second panel. This has nothing to do with [redacted], however one of the door panels on the first door which was installed was a quarter inch narrower than the other 3 panels. I asked [redacted] to get this fixed. It took me a month to get ahold of him because he would not return my calls, and it's now been over 2 months since he said he'd get it fixed. He was supposed to bring my 2nd door, the trim, and the correctly sized panel last Thursday or Friday and he never showed.Desired SettlementI'd like him to come and fix the door that is up because I already paid to have it installed, and then afterwards noticed that the panel was a different size. I also want him to drop off my second door, and the trim that is supposed to go with the 2 doors.
