Contemporary Dental Implant Centre Reviews (7)

My wife was accepted as a patient at contemporary to get implants on her full uppers which would mean permanent crowns and the cost was about $22,000- She was a *** and a smoker which was not good for implants yet contemporary took her case and her moneyAfter years, there was a lot of problems and a few of the implants did not work and contemporary wound up not being able to give her the full amount of implants which we paid for and they were going to wind up giving her a permanent denture which was not what they promised herShe passed away before the work was completed and contemporary said that even though they didn't give her what she signed a contract for, they wouldn't give any refund to us.Apparently, they never give refunds and they should not have taken on this case for a smoker and *** that contemporary had trouble with from the first day

Addendum to my review dated 27.07.2018:
Went to my dentist today to have the implant crown done by Contemporary Dental Implants removed and replaced. It could not be done because the tiny screw holding the crown in place was stripped out. I'm stuck with this bad crown until a way to take it off is found. My dentist told me that he always uses a new screw when closing up after accessing an implant crown. Apparently CDI didn't despite accessing the crown during 18 failed attempts to get it right. Wish I never heard of Contemporary Dental Implants.

Very dissatisfied. Having crown re-done elsewhere tomorrow. Unfortunately stuck with a depression in my gum line. I will never go back.

I responded to one of there advertisements. I live in Suffolk and when I asked for an appointment I was told that they had an office in Smithtown near my home. I made an appointment and had an extraction of a #5 tooth. I was told to make a followup appointment for 6 to 8 weeks as a follow up. I made the appointment before I left the office that day. On the scheduled date of the appointment I arrived on time and waited 45 minutes and left as no employees showed up. I called up and told the person who answered phone about what happened. With that she set a new appointment for 10:30 for 1/**/2017. Again I was on time for the appointment and when I arrived the door was locked. I waited anothe 45 minutes and left. Before I left I tried to call the number I was given to call prior. Low and behold the voice message box wouldn't accept any messages. For those who want to know the phone number I used is ###-###-####. This is something I think the AG should look into.

I went to contemporary dental started back in July 2016 for a promotional dental implant. I had an extraction and a implant was placed in my mouth. There was supposed to be a [redacted] done but I am not sure was if it was done. I am now having the damage done by them repaired by my dentist and their [redacted] does not compare. Needless to say the implant failed, here now December 2016. The implant came loose and they had to take it out. Then they wanted me to wait four to eight weeks to try again. I told them no and asked to stop payment. I was able to get them to stop the payment on the implant, but the so called [redacted] and extraction is my responsibility. I feel that the [redacted] was part of the implant procedure because they were done on the same day therefore I should not have to pay for it because it failed. Anyway I asked for my dental record and I was asked to write a statement requesting a copy. When I did I was told that it would be mailed to me. I was standing there at the customer service desk. The woman that was there was rude, disrespectful, and hostile, there at the customer service desk. She would not give me a copy of my dental record. Two days later after I had seen my dentist this was Monday December ** 2016 I returned to contemporary with a request and a fax number on a business card from my dentist asking them to fax a copy of my dental record to them. Again contemporary dental refused stating that they will mail it to them. Now that I have seen a specialist I still do not have a copy of my dental record. Look the work at [redacted] is not very good. I have my incident and on that Monday when I returned there I met another man complaining that crown's had become loose and he spent more money than me for his service. He say's that they have to repair their work but he has been several times prior..Bottom line if you are thinking of having dental work here understand you have been fore warned, the work is not good.
