[As the customer I went to a Dry Cleaners (NU YALE) to have my jeans dry cleaned I own a side by side front loader and could have laundered them myselfInstead I took them to the cleanersIf the label on he garment expressed otherwise then the cleaners should have not done anythingIn any business if the customer requests a certain service and the business could not comply with th wishes of the customer due to any reason, then the business should not take it upon themselves to do the opposite; then the customer should be informedex: If I take my car to the auto shop for an oil change and while there they discover I don't need an oil change instead I need a tuneup because my car was at a certain millelage and they decide to do that job and tell me because the manual saidNO you should always call the customer if you can't do what the customer wantsI would like full compensation for my jeans because they are irrepairable.]

Response:I do not remember her complaining about an odor just the prices which she asked for a discount on the pricesWhich I told her I could not doIf she did complain of an odor I would have told her to bring them back for a redo and I would have told her we couldn't do a refund because without seeing the clothes how would we know if there was an odor or they looked like they had never been cleanedOur policy is if the clothes are not pressed right or there is a problem we will redo them

Response: When the jeans were brought in by her husband he just said he wanted them cleaned when they were received at our plant they look at the care label and go directly by the care labelThe care label said to wash and do not dry cleanIf the jeans were new which it what was stated when she
complained to us I told her she could take them back and I would send a letter stating they were cleaned per the care label and they should take care of it because it was a manufacturer problem not the drycleanerWe didn't call her because one it was not stated they were to be drycleaned only by the customer and when the plant gets it they don't know who the customer is they just do what is on the care labelWe did not offer a refund because we did the work and she never asked for a refund she just wanted us to replace the pantsSent on: 4/10/8:29:AM

Their response is not factual. Apparently they wish to resolve this matter in court. So be it! I have waited for their response and it has not changed. My position has not changed either. [As I stated previously, [redacted] was VERY RUDE and made it very clear that NuYale NEVER gives refunds. It's convenient now that she is stating that she doesn't 'remember' my complaint about the odor but she remembers something about her statement about refunding. Originally, [redacted] stated she didn't say anything about a refund. The discussion about my dresses not appearing pressed and/or dry cleaned occurred, the odor & the outrageous prices all took place in each conversation with [redacted]. I mentioned previously that she gave the option to have the items redone but that was the only option. Why would she offer to redo the items if I didn't complain of the odor and items not being pressed? [redacted] is definitely trying to give me the run around and not own up to what she actually said to me. This issue needs to be resolved as I am not happy with wasting money on services that weren't properly rendered. I hope other customers do not suffer from this type of service.]

Response:In response to customer not accepting the proposed action. Our position remains the same the jeans were brought in to be cleaned and we cleaned them according to the care label. If they faded after being cleaned according to the care label that is a manufacturer default and they need to be taken back where they were purchased.

[[redacted] is the person I spoke with & she specifically stated that NuYale NEVER provides refunds. She stated they would only redo the service. I specifically complained about the prices, smell & results of the dry cleaning; not just the outrageous prices. For the amount of money paid, I should definitely be able to tell that my items were dry cleaned & shouldn't have smelled a strange odor. I did not inspect the clothing until I arrived home & I called [redacted] on 7/5/2017 which was the next business day after picking my items up on 7/3/2017. So no I did not complain to the store associate of the odor as the items were in a zippered bag. [redacted] was definitely aware of my complaints & that they were for the odor & lack of dry cleaning results. ]

Response:The scarf was detailed into our store with a heat seal that has numbers to identify who it belongs to and which store. We affix heat seals to all garments as we do over a million pieces of clothing a year and this is how we track them as does almost every one in our industry. The heat seal...

tag was not over the [redacted] name it was in the lower left hand corner. The scarf was in no way ruined. The customer was belligerent on the phone with the store manager and our personnel in the office. As he was belligerent and made verbal threats and threats of a law suit that is when we disengage our selves from the situation as not wishing to escalate the matter. Sent on: 4/25/2017 10:17:22 AM

We mailed the check on on 4/6/18 I need to Know if Mr. [redacted] received it or not. Also the amount he was paid was for the entire cost of his suit and tax according to the receipt Mr. [redacted] sent us. There were some other charges on there and I am not sure what they were for but we paid the the whole amount for the suit purchased.Sent on: 5/15/2018 11:01:42 AM
