As I've read so many times if I could give 0 Stars I would.
After meeting with six pool companies I decided to go with Gabe and Contemporary Pools because he gives the illusion that he is in charge of all operations of pool building and he gives the air of confidence.
That is far from the truth while Gabe may know pool the construction. he is nowhere to be found while his subcontractors are doing the job. it was a big red flag to me that he didn't give me his cell phone number and told me to call the office if I need him. I should have canceled my dealings with him at that point.... but now I see why he does it because he disappears and leaves the work to the subs.
Gabe and Contemporary Pools simply act as general contractors and sub out all of pool building operation.
Like I said in the caption of one of my pictures there are tons of hidden fees close to $10,000 worth of hidden fees to get me to a mud-covered backyard with a pool that is not operational.
The additional fee for the cement would have been $27,000 and yes I am doing more than the normal amount cement but keep in mind cement costs approximately $120 a yard. I am not putting concrete on my entire town.
They fail to keep their appointments to show up and when they do show up they fail to rectify the problem as you can see by my murky water they came yesterday to add chemicals and salt to the pool yet for some reason they didn't bring the salt they claim to be professionals yet they only added half the salt that was needed for the pool to be operational and that was over 30 days ago and they still have not come back to rectify it when I took the pool water 2 Blue Ribbon Pool Store in [redacted] they told me that contemporary had failed to put in over seven hundred and fifty pounds of salt that's correct not a typo they were short 750 pounds and they added zero chlorine stabilizer which means any amount of chlorine that my salt generator generated was virtually immediately burned off by the Sun. this is only something a complete hack would do
Watching contemporary operate is like Amateur hour and they have an excuse for everything. you know what they say about excuses right? If you don't private message me and I will tell you.

Review: The company took unreasonably long time to complete pool construction with delays caused by the company. It did not follow specifications proposed by a hired engineer and, as a result, extra hardscaping and grading work had to be done. The company failed to complete the necessary work with only days remaining before end of the season. That work had to be completed by others and paid for. The cost of necessary work, together with costs of repairs of damages caused by the company was subtracted from the final balance. The final payment was mailed to the company together with detailed explanations and the invoices. That mail was successfully delivered to company's business address in mid November 2013 but never picked up. It was returned to us a month later. In the meantime we were contacted by an attorney's office claiming to represent the company. A detailed letter together with supporting documentation was sent via certified mail and successfully delivered to said attorney. The mail package that had been returned to us was forwarded to said attorney via certified mail and successfully delivered in early December 2013. The check has never been cashed, nor did we receive any response from the attorney or the company. In mid-March 2014 we started receiving phone calls regarding unpaid balance. We returned a phone call to the mobile phone of the company's owner and were told that this number is not associated with the company and that they never called us. In mid-April we received a letter from a debt collector company regarding same unpaid balance. The company ignored the payment twice and never responded to our communication. Their claim to make a full payment is frivolous since part of the necessary job had to be completed by a landscaper, who was paid. Their badgering methods are preposterous and harassing.Desired Settlement: The company acknowledges that they failed to complete the job and procrastinated until the very end of the season. They accept the charges for repairs resulting from damages caused by the company and the cost of grading/hardscaping that had to be performed by a landscaper. The company accepts the check issued to them in November 2013 and stop badgering us.
