On March 31, our service department received a call from *** *** stating they were selling their home. They had a home inspector come to the house as part of the sales contract. While inspecting the home, the home inspector had turned the water heater off and when he went to
turn it back on it wouldn’t re-light. The home inspector informed *** *** that a licensed plumber would need to come out to check the water heater. On April 2, our service technician arrived at the home of *** ***. Although our technician did get the water heater to function, he found that the gas valve would fail if the wiring was touched. Our technician explained to *** *** that the gas valve would need to be replaced for the water heater to be in proper working condition. Our technician also recommended that *** *** change the thermocouple at the same time. It has been our experience that when a gas valve fails, the thermocouple fails a short time later. In an effort to reduce future expenses we recommend the replacement of both parts. Our technician gave *** *** the cost of replacing each item and gave him the option of replacing one or both of the items. *** *** told our technician he would think about what he wanted to do and would call us back. *** *** has never been invoiced for the original service visit, called with any concerns regarding the service he received, or requested the work to be completed. It is not true that I did not respond to their messages. I was available the days they said they would install the control box and called them when they did not show up.
I did not receive any information from them that they had expressed the part needed or if they had gotten it. They have not scheduled a Monday afternoon visit with me. I just learnt at 1:Pm on Monday that they had scheduled a visit through the Revdex.com. I am at home and waiting.
They just seem to give me the old run around every time I call.
I want them to call me on my cell phone (which they have) and schedule a definite date. I have spend too many Mondays waiting in vain for a technician.
