Product failures from date of install, Continental refuses to correct problem
We believe inaccurately made double-door gate(s) was cause of product functional failure. Gates were cut/built too wide to close easily. Continental Fence returned to job site and simply moved the hinges/hinge position on both opposing gates. When the right MAIN POST supporting the cantilevered right gate failed a few months later, company was informed, inspected the situation, and stated that “someone had moved the hinges“ and implied that this could be the cause of the post failure. They blame this on the customer or claimed that the customer had somehow damaged the post. Continental Fence failed to recognize or acknowledge that THEY had moved the hinges and shortcut attempt to resolve the problem, rather than actually fixing it by rebuilding the gates to the proper size. Continental Fence has refused to service the product and make it fully functional.

Review: The nature of the complaint is in their service.

On 10/21/2014: I arrived at their place of business in order to trade out materials at 4:10 pm. The business was closed. I called and the message stated that their business hours were 8-5 M-F and that if there was no answer-that they were helping customers. I left a message stating that if someone showed to please call me as I had driven from out of town to make this trade.

On 10/22/2014: I called at 8:10 am and again at 8:40 am and left a message so that I wasn't wasting another trip- it is 90 miles round trip from my house. I had scheduled family members to help me this a.m. and was not able to utilize them due to this business being closed during normal hours. I finally received a call back at 9:20 am stating that they were open.

I drove back to Continental fence to trade out my materials, which I did but did not realize that they did not give me the proper amount of wire.

On 10/29/2014: While working on erecting the chain link fence, we noticed that one of the 50' rolls of 42" high wire was not 50'. I had purchased 100' of the 42" chain link wire and only received about 90'. I now cannot complete the fence. I left a message stating my name, phone number, displeasure that I had already wasted a 90 mile round trip to their place of business once, and now I am short 10' of wire. I stated that they could deliver the remaining 10' to a specific address and that if they didn't believe me, they could measure what was already put up. I have not received the wire, nor have I heard anything from them.Desired Settlement: I just want my 10' of chain link in order to complete the fence and I don't believe that I have to make yet another trip to their place of business.
