Dear Previous Resident,This letter is in response to the complaint concerning your belief charges you incurred upon move-out were excessive, and your request we reassess the final move-out cost, and revoke the excessive extra billing.The move-out inspection was performed with you present and myself,
the property managerDuring the inspection I pointed out the following; damaged blinds, master bedroom stained bath counter top, chipped kitchen sink, dirty apartment, stains on carpet, damaged and bent 2nd bedroom sliding closet doors, and "2" verticle blind slats damagedI informed you we contract an outside carpet cleaning company to clean the carpet, and we pay for a cleanThat you would be charged any other charges above the carpet cleaning chargeAttempts to remove the stains were unsuccessfulCarpet was replaced and you were charged 52% of the replacement cost due to the age of the carpet. Your moinventory form clearly listed new carpet and pad being installed October 2013, the month you moved-inNone of the damages you were charged for were listed on your moinventory form. In your letter you mentioned the apartment was quickly turned and is currently rented with no time for extensive repairsA new occupant took possession of the apartment April 30, 2013, a full month after you vacated the apartment. I informed the owner of your complaint, and he went over everything in detailHe is in agreement all charges are correct and non are excessiveAn owner, should not be responsible for damages to an apartment a resident has causedwear and tear is taken into consideration.During your lease term, there were many times you informed me that you were pleased with management, and your stay here at Contour PlaceWe valued you as a resident, and hope this letter helps you better understand your final account statement charges. We stand by our original response. We would like to make one adjustment to the date a new occupant took possession after your move-out. The year of course should be 2016. We have nothing else to add.Thank you,Contour Place Management
