I received what I ordered faster than promised
I saw a bunch of negative reviews about Contractor Resource about 1 hour after I purchased the 2018 Virginia Residential Code, and was very worried by what I read. I felt better about a day later when I received an email with an acknowledgment and a tracking number of my purchase. Today I received the book. It's in new condition and I'm glad I bought it. I will look at my next few credit card statements very closely, but if there's no fraud against it within the next couple months, I'd be glad to use this company again.

This is a copy of the messages that went back and forth between myself and contractor resources starting with the most recent. As you will see the customer service is very poor

I am not sure what is wrong with you.. I never wanted the shipping back never asked for it back. simply asked about the refund. I was given miss information on where to look on your website...that simple.. That is fine about my account. I have copied all of these messages to share. I am sure people will find this amusing and quite embarrassing for you and your company have a great day

...and before you lecture a retailer about online payments, have you even reached out to your bank to see if the funds have been deposited back into your account?

I think you will be surprised that the first, logical place to look to see if a refund has been received will have the answer you are looking for. If not, we encourage you to reverse the charges for the transaction (again, we are confident your bank will not allow you to do so because the refundable portion of your recent transaction has already been returned to your account).

To save us both from this agonizing situation again, your account has been suspended and will be removed from our system within 24 hours.

Thank you for your rude snooty return message. There is no "order timeline" for me to click on. There is a box marked returns under my account that has nothing in it I believe it says "you have made no returns" Under the box that has my orders there is the order that has "partial refund" next to it...that's all. So before you lecture another customer you should understand what the customer has on there screen under their account.

Again, all of the information you are asking about, including the amount refunded and when the refund was forwarded to your bank, are available from your Contractor Resource account. If you don't believe this, please click on the link for "Order Timeline."

If this is all too much, $139.90 was refunded back to the method of payment on February 25, 2022. The cost of shipping was not refunded because that was an out-of-pocket expense that was paid on your behalf to get the book to you, originally.

As you can see if you click on returns it says nothing has been returned, so it was a very legitimate question...stop being so snotty. Also as you can see when you look under orders it shows partial refund, no dollar amount. So what dollar amount was refunded?

As you can see from the information available within your account, your refund for the cost of the returned item (outbound shipping costs are not eligible for refund) was processed on Feb 25.

This fact comes as a surprise to many people but we have zero control over how quickly your financial institution returns refunded money to the account it was removed from. Many take 3-5 business days, or longer.

If you have not yet received the refund back into your account, we suggest you reach out to your bank.

I am not sure what to say. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, I sent a message listing the order number and what I needed to do.. That being said I have sent the book back and should be there this Saturday.

To respond to your message...

1. We've gone through the messages received on our web site's contact form for the past 30 days and no messages from you were received. We searched by your full name, last name, email address and order number...nothing.

2. If you don't know when you received the item you would like to return, all you need to do is go back to the shipment tracking information associated with your order (you were sent an email with this information and it can also be found within your Contractor Resource account). This will show the date, time and location of the delivery.

The first message I sent unfortunately was not through the message center. It was through the contact us section.
You say I have 15 days to return it from when I received it. I do not know when I received it I do not want to send it back and find out I do not credit because I am one day late. Please advise

3. Returned item(s) MUST BE IN NEW/UNUSED CONDITION (for example…no bent/creased covers, no broken spines, factory shrink-wrapping intact).

4. Since responsibility for the item is yours until it has been accepted by our warehouse staff, we recommend sending the item via a carrier that provides a tracking and/or label number.

5. Our warehouse does not accept "postage due" packages so please do not simply refuse delivery mark as "return to sender." The package will NOT be accepted and will be returned to you, at your expense.

This is my second email regarding returning this book This was ordered in error. I need the rhode island one and two family code book. Please advise.

Horrible service
I ordered books from contractor resource- 3 books. One of the books they shipped was completely wrong. I tried to log into my account on their system with no success. I tried recovering my password and their system would not send me a reset. When I emailed their general email, I was met with incredibly rude and unhelpful responses. They kept telling me to log into their system to communicate , and implied that since I was not logging in, it somehow meant I was being dishonest. ? The anonymous email respondent (because they will never reveal who they are- for obvious reasons) continued to accuse me of being deceptive and not offering to solve my issue. I am stuck with the wrong book , missing volume 1 of the series that I ordered. I would never order from them again due to their sloppy shipping practices and lack of customer service to solve THEIR problem.

Shipping policy on their website is not accurate. They don't ship anything. When they do respond to you they are obviously not professionals and not an actual business. This is a scam. If you purchased from them immediately call your bank and start a fraud case. Cancel your card and get your refund.

Order book weeks ago but not yet shipped from their facility. Called more than times but never answered. Do not buy from this company.

I ordered C-study guide book on Sep 1th with expedited shipment which I supposed to recieve it in to days, but today is Sep 8th and I did not recieve my book yetOnce I called them like four days ago, they said " you should recieve it by tomorrow." Purchased items from this company on 1/ Received a confirmation by email on 1/that this order was received and being processed About two weeks later I had not received the order so I checked sent an email to customer service which went unanswered I then tried calling the customer service number multiple times and left multiple voicemails trying to inquire about my order No calls were returned and the emails have not been answered asd well I did however discover that my card was indeed charged on the 30th and product has yet to be received months later

Review: I ordered one book from this company. I requested overnight delivery. I was informed that because of the time they process their orders, overnight would become two days, but I was required to pay the $55 shipping fee anayway. I informed the sales rep. (Mr. [redacted]) that I would not be available for personal delivery because I was at the training course for which I ordered the book, and it will need to be left at my apartment for me. He understood my terms; and accepted them; stating the book would be waiting for me when I returned in the evening after the second day. (Even though I paid extra for overnight shipping.) When I returned from the training course in the evening, I received a failed delivery sticker stating that a signature was required. After three days of leaving for the training course early mornings, and returning very late in the evening; there was the same sticker requiring a signature in person only. The book was sent back to [redacted]. When I conacted him via email, I was informed that:"We cannot simply treat your recent order as "do-over," cancel it and issue a full refund. Because the item was shipped (and returned) at our expense we treat these sorts of situations as returns.Per our returns policy, unless item was shipped in error, buyers are responsible for both the outbound and inbound shipping, and the cost of the item is subject to a restocking fee (http://www.contractorresource.com/shipping-returns/)."This is a disgrace. I paid $174 for one book that was never delivered as described. Now I'm told I need to pay the initial shipping $55, the return shipping $9, and a 20% restocking fee. 20%! totaling about $86 dollars! I need to pay $86 dollars for nothing? I don't think so.Desired Settlement: Full refund due to nature of unacceptable delivery method. (not meeting the agreed terms). And simply hiding behind some corporate policy is abusive. (is the customer never right) I'm expected to bend over backwards for my clients and I do. This is abusive. $86 for nothing! I want my $174 back.
