When this customer first came in to smog car I explained his check engine light was on, Which saved him a failed smog cost of $36.75 . He the requested a diag whic I discounted for him ....

Customer only smogged vehicle once here and that's after he paid for a diagnostic . We found his egr ports plugged . customer took home fixed it and came back and smogged vehicle. While smogging car we inspected catalytic converter. we tried very hard to scrub the catalytic converter and nothing came off. I did give him a quote on a catalytic converter if scrubbing cat didnt work . I told customer take home and try to scrub catalytic converter first so I can try and attempt to see numbers.I also explained to him that once it was cleaned off hopefully I could see cat numbers or if he had repaired vehicle that I would only charge him a total of $8.25 for the cert and that's it. He ended up taking it else where and spending another $45 on a smog. I have pictures of the catalytic converter which we take of all problem cats. I sent them with this letter . In the future we will continue to help customers that come in. But there is an extent of what we can do to try and help each customer. I tried very hard to satisfy this customer with an intial discount on the Diagnostic before smog. and then to only charge him $8.25 for the second smog. None of it seem to help in this incident.

He never suggested or advised me to try cleaning the cats.converter myself but was ready to order and install a new cat.converter that moment but I told him I'd make an appointment. This gave me a chance to think about it and went else were. On his response he said they tried cleaning it then how was it that this other place had no problem at all display the numbers. I feel that this shop misleads customers by double talk in getting the customer to trust them by doing everything they can and throwing in a 5.00 dollar discount. Who knows how many customers they've cheated by misguiding them.

THis customer says he paid twice for a smog here. If you look on VehicleTestHistory.com and enter his license or vin number it will show you He has only smogged twice this year. One he failed here and the other he passed at other location. This is proof that this customer continues to lie. This customer continues to make false accusations against this facility. Again if you look at his invoice I gave him $10 off on a diagnostic. not much different from what he states but again another stretch from the truth. I guess this customer expects us to stop all the other smogs put his car on the rack and try our hardest to scrub a catalytic converter . That is not part of a smog inspection. We tried multiple times scrubbing with no success. Again I have pictures of this part in question. Customers like this is hard to please no matter what you do. This is a father of one of my child hood friends and it's really sad it came to this. This is becoming a he said He said. These are the facts, HE did have something melted on that cat that we couldn't take off. He admits he did and admits he had to take it back to the shop who installed his cat. Fact- He lied about the cost. FAct- he lied about how many times he smogged here. one more thing , again I told him if he cleaned up the cat either at that facility or at his house that I would only charge him $8.25 for the second smog. I don't know how much more clear I could have been with him.

comfort our customers. Some customer want more than what I can offer. She chose the color of the hood as she stated in her statements above. I gave her options and she chose the Dark Green. Her vehicle had many scratches all around the car. Scratches chipped paint etc. As a shop I explained to her that I will help out with the hood and that's all I am willing to do to at lest try and help out during this unfortunate situation. Whats even more unfortunate is helping a customer who then wants me to now repaint a hood she choose and to fix scratches on her car which she had many when first arriving . I am embarrassed as a business owner when our community goes around to business and destroys property. It now cause incidents like this . A lose of a customer. I will not paint her hood or fix scratches I feel I've far exceeded expectations.
