Mr*** *** initially brought his
Granddaughters PT cruiser in for service on February 5th of this
yearWe found it needed an a/c compressor, catalytic converter, motor mount
and transmission fluid serviceThe work was approved and the repairs were
performed, and paid by Mr
***
On April 21st, Mr***
called for a power steering issue on the same vehicleWe found the power
steering pressure switch was defective and replaced it with his approval and
again paid by Mr***
On June 22nd , Mr***
called for a heater problem on this same vehicleWe found the heater core
leaking and was given approval to have the part replacedIt was paid by Mr
***
Each of these repairs were a few
months apart and were separate items that had no connection to each other
The vehicle has over 180,miles
and is not in the best condition
On June 24th, Ms*** brought
the car in to us, saying the a/c was now not working, there was a scratch on
the fender, and the tail lights and brake lights were not workingShe left the
car in our parking lot for us to evaluate When we went to move it, we could not get the
key to operate properly in the ignition She also said the scratch on the fender was
caused by us, but the scratch has rust on it and was evident that the scratch
has been there for a while. We found the
a/c system to be out of refrigerant and a power wire burnt in twoThe tail
lights and brake lights had a burnt fuse
We never called Ms*** a liarWe
feel the service item’s the car currently is having is because of the condition
and age of the vehicle, and don’t feel we are responsible for themWe would be
glad to investigate why the a/c system is out of refrigerant and if it is a
defective part that we replaced prior, we will be glad to replace it at no
charge
In speaking with Mr*** about
his former daughter in law, he apologized for her behavior
At this point we will only deal with
Mr*** since he was the person we originally dealt with and paid for each
service and seems to be more reasonable and understanding about this vehicles
current issuesWe would be glad to work with him to resolve any issues that
the car has, especially the a/c system, since we replaced the compressor back
in February of this year.
