I visited my friend to have look at new new doors he had installed from DuracoI like them so much I decided to have them come and install some windows and doors on my house and garageWhen I signed the contract in April of I was told my friend and I would receive gift certificatesThey installed the doors and windows in November and I have been waiting ever sinceIHave called more times than I can remember and get nothing but excuses and no return callsThe weird part is I wanted them to install more window and patio door this summer

Very poor customer service No one ever phones you back and if they do they cannot help you You do the voicemail run around We got stuck with Duraco when they bought out Dominion and our door took months + to get installed due to very poor communication on company's part They leave you feeling like "they can keep the money just get them out of my life" Really bad experience We will never use them again or recommend this company

My window installation has been a complete nightmare and is still ongoing No permits were pulled They ruined the surrounding walls and left an electrical cord running over the middle of the window into an outlet belowThe manager will not talk to me on the phone and the person I have been dealing with is now screening my calls

Also, one of the windows they arrived with was not the right size, so they had to remake it, leaving my window covered with plywood for a few days in November. We have more windows to replace, and I will be shopping around to compare again.

In February 2013, Duraco Windows removed our old home windows and replaced with new. This was for both our entire 1050 sf main floor and basement. A new front door was also done. In April 2014 we had them come back to do another patio door opening and door/window combination. Approx cost was $22,000. The PRODUCT itself we feel is one of the best in the industry. The window frames, insulation value, glass quality, and especially the hardware (cranks, seals, etc) are very good. The acoustic quality is also very good (fire engine sirens outside are much decreased). We chose custom exterior colour which seems to be holding up very well. --- The negatives are in the customer service/scheduling (you get the phone run-a-round), and they did a real sloppy job on our exterior stucco at the window edges. We repeated questioned them about this but got no response; not even "we're sorry and will try to do something to fix what we can". And later we found out that the new front door sweep, after failing, wasn't installed correctly at all; but at least in this they sent out a serviceman who corrected it (after of course begging for someone to come out in less than 4 weeks). Lastly, the clean-up (during and after) was rather less than stellar; we had to literally tell them to poly off rooms and cover furniture to keep off the dust. -- So summary would be 5 of 5 stars for product, 3 of 5 stars for overall service.
