Failed to fix repairs & agreed to reimburse the cost , never did. Failed to pay for the vehicle to pass [redacted] but yet passed ** after we paid.[redacted] the [redacted] of the business has received a letter dated 8/2/14 from us requesting a $525 check be refunded to us and has failed to respond or refund the money in over 32 days. My son & I bought a 2005 subaru imprexa wrx sti from this dealer in June and realized it had many problems. We requested the defective tire before being inspected be replaced and [redacted] said instead he will refund us the $175 and passed [redacted] safety inspection portion of it but it failed the emissions part of inspection. The car's tire at any other inspection station would have failed safety but [redacted] passed ** and said they would pay for its replacement. The car failed to pass [redacted] for emissions at [redacted] Sales. I called the dealer many times for many issues and decided to have the car for $350 welded together so that it would pass [redacted] seeing time was going by and a sticker is needed. The car was sold to us with the catalytic converter not even attached to the muffler which is why it failed the emissions inspection. After we fixed this problem for $350 and reset the code we brought it back the dealer and it passed [redacted] By law a dealer is suppose to have the car pass ** inspection sticker. The tire for $175 and the welding job for $350 should be refunded in the amount of $525 immediately.Desired SettlementWe are seeking a check for $525 immediately for the tire and welding required to pass [redacted] cars inspection. we have over 3K (have receipts to prove this) into this car already and it still requires approx $1XXX-XXXX in repairs. If we do not receive the $525 we will be forced to go to court and will be requesting the full X-XXXXK for ALL repairs in this car!! USUALLY WHEN THIS HAPPENS, WE REFER THE CUSTOMER TO A MASS MOTORIST ASSISTANCE CENTER. THIS IS WHAT WE DID. NANCY [redacted] CALLED ME A SHORT TIME LATER AND SAID THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. I TOLD HER IT WILL NOT PASS [redacted] IF THE LIGHT IS ON. WE TALKED ABOUT IT. I SAID IT MIGHT NOT BE COVERED UNDER HER POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. I WAS NOT SURE TIL WE CHECKED IT. SHE CALLED ME BACK AND SAID THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE EXHAUST. I SAID WE WOULD HAVE TO CHECK IT. SHE CALLED ME AROUND JULY 28TH 2014 SAID THE LIGHT WAS OUT. I ASKED HER TO STOP BY AND WE WOULD TRIED TO DO A STATE INSPECTION EMISSIONS AND IT PASSED. ON THE TIRE REFUND SHE IS RIGHT. WE DO OWE HER THAT, ON THE WELDING BILL. I HAVE CALLED HER TODAY 09/05/14 AND LEFT MESSAGE ON VOICE MAIL. WHEN SHE CALLS ME I AM GOING TO ASK FOR A COPY OF THE WELDING BILL AND EVALUATE AND LET HER AND YOU KNOW WHAT WE WILL BE DOING.
