The stylist and manager acted accordingly with State Board regulations in regard to the situation described in the complaint Once detection of lice is noticed, we are required to cease the haircut and are no longer allowed to continue Towards the end of the daughter's haircut, the
stylist did in fact discover that there were lice "eggs" in *** ***'s daughter's hair, which was later reinforced by the manager that did in fact show *** *** the presence of lice "eggs.: The haircut was for had been completed with just a few finishing touches to be done before the discovery had been made which is why she was only charged a discounted rate $for a bang trim (although the daughter did receive a full haircut) The son's haircut had initially been interrupted by *** *** (upon hearing of her daugther's situation) with *** *** removing her son from the styling chair and leaving the salon without the haircut being finished or paying for any services The manager then caught up with *** *** and had convinced her to allow her (the manager) to finish her son's haircut, which she did As to the condition of the son's haircut, there is unfortunately a discrepancy as the manager that completed *** ***'s son's haircut is a seasoned stylist and is in high demand and it is very unlikely that an incomplete haircut with jagged edges and balding spots would have occurred *** *** was threatening to call the police after trying to leave without paying for services rendered (the daughter's haircut was only charged $because the finishing could not be completed because of the lice discovery, the son was charged for a full haircut as it had been finished by the manager with no mention at the time of any concerns of the haircut being unacceptable) We do apologize for the t.v.s, phones, and credit card services being out as it is beyond our control when *** ***'s services go out and we try our best to get the situation remedied as soon as possible within reason At Cookie Cutters, we really do value and appreciate all of our clients concerns and feedback and try to make sure we are accommodating in resolving any issues that arise and we are confident that at the time, the manager acted accordingly in resolving the issue and also complying with State Board regulations We do not offer refunds for services rendered and if a client is unsatisfied with a haircut, our policy is we encourage them to come back in within hours to correct the situation
