We responded to s service call at this home with a complaint of not cooling properly. On arrival the coil was frozen. The coil was de-iced and found to be very dirty. added. The technician told the homeowner that a leak check needed to be done, which the homeowner declined. The homeowner was also told that if the R22 leaked out again, a leak check would have to be done before anything else could be done.
After 4 days, we returned to his home with the same complaint of not cooling properly. A leak check was done (the customer was not charged for the leak check) and it was found that he had multiple holes in his coil.
We performed the services that the customer allowed us to do, and also did work for which he was not charged.
We do not feel any refund is due.

I am rejecting this response because:  The part where they say I declined doing the leak check ,  is a complete lie , I did everything he told me  i needed to, when the technician came the 1st time . It was only the 2nd time when they mentioned anything about a leak check to me , and the second guy even said I dont know why he didnt do a leak check and then he realized he shouldnt have said it and said he is a good guy and all that excuse . Its hard to believe that the technician didnt mention anything about me declining anything on  his service receipt. when I got a 2nd opinion after they came the 2nd time , they told me if that much gas missing there was definitely a leak and they should have told you before they refilled it.  Either they are lying or they were trying to rip me off , and either way me and my family was at discomfort. I attached a copy of there service receipt on the 1st call.
