First and foremost, let me clarify that when the ***’s first came to Cool Ridge Service Center concerning their alleged allegations to the damage to their rims I offered to find them rims from LKQ, the ***’s were OK with this until they found out that it was an auto Salvage Parts Company that supply new and used parts. We can go back and forth with he said, I said but the reality is Cool Ridge Service Center provided a service to the ***’s, my service tech nor myself examined the rims before or after the installation of the tires nor did the ***’s, so therefore the very small dent in the two rims could have occurred at any time prior to or after the tires were mounted and balanced. I offered to find them the rims in good faith as I would have any customer but the ***’s need to understand that the rims are not new, The ***’s contend the vehicle only has 20,miles but even by the US Federal Highway Transportation Administration this would be high mileage on a new vehicle plus the tires we dismounted were worn out. My service tech’s take every precaution they can with every vehicle regardless of age. Being a small business in a small town we rely on repeat business and this consists of good service at an affordable priceThe ***’s alleged allegations that Cool Ridge Service Center damaged their rims during the mounting and balancing of their tires is “ONLY ALLEGED.” Cool Ridge Service Center CAN NOT be held hostage by this customer for their demand of new rims, they requested, received and paid for a service provided by Cool Ridge Service CenterThank you again for the opportunity to clarify this situationScott Smith Owner/Operator Cool Ridge Service Center

I am in receipt of the Customer complaint from Mrand Mrs*** *** concerning the alleged damage to the rims on their dodge Ram 1500. After reviewing the complaint I find that the Customers are wanting nothing less than two new rims for their vehicle, when the ***’s
came to the Coolridge Service Center on September 2nd requesting our service to mount and balance four tires that they had purchased from another location, I informed them that we were busy but we would do it as soon as possible, after approximately minutes the Customers left but called back after to minutes wanting to know if we could still do the work and I told them yes. My service tech took off the old tires and mounted and balanced the new tires, during this time the Customers were in the waiting area where we have informative signs for our customers stating that “Coolridge Service Center is NOT responsible for damages to Wheels.” After the tires were mounted and balanced the charges were $for mounting and balancing $for disposal of the old tires and tax of $for a total of $63.60, The Customers paid for the service and left, if there had been any damage to the rims there would have been scuff marks visible at that time not after washing the vehicle. When the Customers notified me of what they considered damages to their rims that consist of a small dent in two of the rims this is cosmetic and does not affect the integrity of the wheels. I questioned my service tech and he said it was possible but not probable that the damage was done during the mounting and balancing of the tires, but to try to keep the Customers satisfied I offered to try and find them rims at LKQ (a salvage yard) when the rims came in they were of the wrong design, this is when I asked for a picture so LKQ would know what to look for, The customers contend their truck is new but it is two years old so therefore the rims are not considered new.Coolridge Service Center is a small business that is open + hours a week for the convenience of our customers, their satisfaction and repeat business is what we strive for. I feel that I have done everything within reason to satisfy these customers in question but it is out of reason to request $for two-year-old rims that I cannot and will not accept responsibility for, and the $was for a service rendered.Thank you for the opportunity to clarify this situation.Scott SmithOwner/Operator Coolridge Service Center

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Scott Smith never at any time told my husband or myself, that the rims would be bought either second had or newScott Smith just said he would purchase the rims periodNot at anytime past or present have myself or *** *** refused any rims to be purchased for the truckIf the rims match the truck new or used with no dents and are the exact same myself and *** *** would have taken the rimsThe point is clear Scott Smith offered to buy rims for the damage his employee of Cool Ridge Service station caused to the Dodge Ram 1500, the mileage has no relevance in that the service station employee, Scott Smith admitted to the damage periodAs to MrSmith making an attempt to replacing the rims with new or used 2 or rims he has made no effortExcept to ask for pictures of the rimsI can assure you that the rims had no damage on them prior to the service station attendant changing the tiresMrSmith of Cool Ridge Service Station has had plenty of time to contact myself or *** with used or new rims for the truck and refused to do soI am asking that for the Better Business Help in letting the community know that this injustice has occurred to myself and *** ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First of all CoolRidge Service Center did accept responsibility for the rims on the 2016 Dodge it is not 2 years old, the rims didn't have any dents on them prior to Coolridge Service Center changing the tires. Yes your worker did tell my husband and myself with you standing there that he did dent the rims. You told [redacted] that you would fix the rims. Yes I want them replaced the truck has less than 20000 miles on it and wasn't messed up until your business changed the tires. We were never given anything or saw any signs that said you weren't responsible for wheels, rims etc.  It doesn't matter how long we waited to get the tires changed we had waited over an hour and I had to use the restroom. So we left and went to my grandpas house in [redacted] because we asked  before we left how long it would be the tire worker said at least another hour. So before we came back we called to see if it was going to be longer than the hour . I am not sure what that has to do with the damage your Service Center did to the truck. With that being said, it doesn't matter how big or small your business is if you damage a customers property you should have to fix it.  We didn't look at the rims before we left only until the next day when we went to wash the truck did we see the damage and didn't wash the truck we stopped and didn't wash the truck as a matter of fact I was sick to my stomach that I hadn't noticed it when we left that day however it was raining and we had been at your Service Center for hours .  We left the truck dirty was so we could show you the rims. When we came to the CoolRidge Service Center the following day [redacted] showed you the damage and the truck still had not been washed ,  if you had no plans on fixing the damage  then that day  you should have shown us the sign at that time, you as the owner should have  told us that your business wasn't responsible instead of misleading us into believing that you had all intentions of fixing the rims. You apologized  and told my husband you would make it right .  You also told [redacted] that you had found used rims and they weren't the ones on came on the truck they were a different style . No matter the age of the truck being its only a 2016 it should have them replaced with rims that match my original factory rims. You are responsible for the damage your worker admitted doing the damage and you verbally agreed to fix the rims. You sent text messages asking what kind of rims the truck had and I sent pictures. You mislead by verbally agreeing to replace the rims when in fact you had no intentions. Once you found out that the rims were expensive then you decided to for go the vebal agreement we had to replace the rims and in fact refuse to do so. I sent the Revdex.com a copy of the receipt you charged for the tire change and the price of the rims that you told [redacted] would cost to replace. CoolRidge Service Center has made no attempts to contact me with any other options for the replacing the rims used or new. Since the date of the text message Friday September 8th 2017 @ 9:02 am. CoolRidge Service Center claims of trying to do everything to fix the damage to the rims is not true.
