Review: We contracted with [redacted] to have two sliding screen doors made for $250/each (cash). We gave a deposit and he returned with the two screen doors. One was just fine but the other was made the wrong size. He said he would have another one made and left us the one that did not fit. We paid him the remaining money (our bad). After numerous phone calls and weeks he said he would modify the one he had left us to fit. He came took the door apart and then said that he couldn't make it work and he would come. After many more weeks and phone calls we have not heard from him. We would like to have the screen door that we paid for installed or have our $250 returned to us. Review: Called The Cool Sreen Guys on July 7 , 2015 @ telephone number 2[redacted] and [redacted] answered. July 9- [redacted] showed up and measured the front and rear doors of my house for screen doors that I wanted him to install . After selecting from his brochure , he said " each will cost $350.00 and total of $ 700.00 and requires a downpayment of half of the total amount deposit." I gave a deposit of $ 360.00 ( three $ 100.00 bills and three $20.00 bills ) expecting to get back $ 10.00 change . Well , he wrote $ 360.00 and took the $360.00 . He said , " it will take one week for the screen doors to arrive and that he will call me ". July 24 - Called [redacted] after two weeks . He said, " the screen doors he received are the wrong type and that he needs to come over to my place to measure the doors again ." I don't know why he needs to remeasure the doors again when he already measured them last time he was at my house . July 28- [redacted] showed up and did nothing to measure the two doors . Instead he said , " the doors I ordered are not screen doors but security doors and now will cost $ 500.00 each ." Then he asked if I wanted them . I said , " no because you said they were screen doors which were all I wanted installed." Then I asked for my refund of $ 360.00 dollars . He does not have any money with him so I asked him to write me a post dated check but he said, he does not have personal check either, and then promised to refund the amount of $ 360.00 on July 31 , Friday . July 31-[redacted] showed up after I called him at around noon time and handed me ( according to him ) the $ 300.00 downpayment and I showed him the Proposal/ contract I signed which states $ 360.00 .He gave me $320.00 in $ 20.00 dollar bills and promised to refund remaining $ 40.00.August 23- Up to now and few failed promises, no refund in site. Does not call and no shows as promised.Desired Settlement: I want [redacted] to refund the remaining $ 40.00 that he still owed m . He should be honest to customers and return phone calls and fulfill promises he makes . His phone messaging does not accept calls from my home phone but accepts calls from unknown calls like my cell phone .This happened few times when he does not want to be contacted .Ask him to chech the cost of security doors at [redacted] It goes as low as & 199.oo and a lot more better than the $500.00 each that he tried to trick me buying .
