Review: We hired CEI general contractors to fortify and enclose an existing deck to support a hot tub and to build a two story addition as well. We were never given a contract and only dealt in cash or check for all services rendered. We had to push the issue several times to get any statement or itemized bill. Upon completion of the deck and enclosure the roof began to leak and the weight of the hot tub began to cause the deck to sag and the support wall to crack from the pressure. The leak from this structure has now caused water damage to the finished ceiling and mold is now growing. The company owner [redacted] sent his son out once to fix this problem but he did not remedy the situation. Today 8-14-14 [redacted] himself finally showed up to as the situation and admitted that the deck was sagging and the roof was still leaking and cement pad that he poured was angled slopping into he garage causing even more water damage but he would not fix this unless we paid him another $5000. This $5000 was being held for damage done to he front yard which was never fixed and we had to hire another contractor to correct for $15,000. I have contacted BIU to ascertain if [redacted] even had the proper permits and inspections done.Desired Settlement: We will have a neutral party come and as what needs corrected and any violations to the building permit by BIU and hire a contractor to fix this $20,000 disaster caused to my house by CEI general contractors. I want monetary retribution so I can pay a reputable contractor to fix all of the above problems.
