Cooper Motors Reviews (1)

Review: Advertised price for car $13,995. Trade in price for my vehicle $1,050. ** Sales tax $776.70, Tag & Title $189.05. When the salesman filled out the Appraiser Sheet with cost he totalled it at $12,910.75. As you can see he never carried the one so the actual price should have been $13,910.75. When I told him that I was bringing him a check for the original $12,910.75 price that he had written on the paper he gave me, he refused to sell it to my at the price. That was his $1,000 error not mine and he refused to budge. His response "Unfortunately I can't reduce the selling price or trade any further". Now to add insult to injury, I had to beg for the carfax which happened to come back clean, don't know what the big deal was on that, second this vehicle has been on the lot as of today 180 days. Obviously, it is not selling. Cooper Motors can stand to write off their $1,000 mistake but they would rather lose a customer.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to honor the original $12,910.75 price.

I am rejecting this response because:

I still think the dealership needs to sell me the car at the price originally quoted on March 6, 2013. When that quote was written, there was no clause or timeframe unless of course the car was sold. That vehicle has been sitting on the dealer’s lot for 180 days and is still sitting there. I waited five years to save up the cash for a vehicle so that I wouldn’t have a car payment. I did my research, my homework and my test drives. This is the vehicle that I settled on. I don’t see a line of people knocking down the door to buy it. The General Manager made a human error. I get it. People make mistakes all the time. What I don’t get is that as the General Manager, he will not do anything to fix it.

And for the record, he did not give me the Carfax. When I went online to get one there was a charge for it. It was NOT free. Secondly, the Carfax was only given to my boss, a [redacted], when he called the dealership on my behalf.

Furthermore, the only response that will satisfy me at this point is the dealership responding with the date I can come pick up the car at the $12,910.75 originally quoted. Otherwise, there is nothing else to talk about.

Regards,
