RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] . . You know, I was not expecting this to become a game of he said/he said but this is exactly what it is. I can prove with OTHER PROFESSIONALS that they state the driveway is not performing in a normal fashion. As a retired Navy Chief, I have held sensitive positions in the intelligence and cryptologic fields and when retired, have performed in trusted positions as a qualified emergency medical professional and employee of a state University system. Do you really think that based upon my life history of truthfulness and honesty, that I would just randomly pick Cooper Paving to steal services from? NO! Obviously something does not add up. Cooper paving stated when they came out that the driveway they quoted would be strong enough to support our motorhome. Even after they installed the driveway I asked for the specific guidance and did not wait the two weeks, but nearly seven months over the winter and frost heave season to ensure my driveway was "perfect". There is something obviously wrong when a driveway that was guaranteed to seat a motorhome in all climates can't even support a 3,000 lb [redacted] without sinking in on an 80 degree day. So regardless of what [redacted] says he did and used, something went wrong with the process because this driveway does not meet the criteria he promised. Oh, and his statement about he offered two quotes and I picked the cheapest quote is the most laughable thing I have heard because for those who know me know that I never shortchange construction items due to my views on sustainability. [redacted] , I know that you are going to object again and call me a lying customer who just wants his 3,800 back. You should feel ashamed of yourself because you know from the first time we spoke you have been dishonest. All I want is a driveway that you promised I would have for the price we agreed upon. Not one that falls apart despite all due care and rules followed IAW your company and national standards. Regards, [redacted]

When I provided the estimate for Mr***, I provided options The first option, which I highly recommended was to remove the existing asphalt, dig down 18" to install a proper base prior to applying asphalt The second option was to resurface the driveway with layers of asphalt Mr*** opted to do the resurfacing, as it was less expensive As stated on the bottom of our contracts, there is no warranty for resurfacing Mr***'s concerns were wheel marks and holes from a chair that he had put on the driveway on a hot day Wheel marks and holes from sharp objects are things that can happen in warm weather as asphalt is a flexible surface; this is also stated in our contracts and Cooper Paving, LLC is not responsible for damage due to sharp objects such as chair legs, kick stands, etc I went to his house to meet with him and view his concerns I assured him that the driveway was fine and in need of a sealcoating which would take care of his concerns The asphalt is hot-mixed asphalt not reclaim asphalt I purchased it from *** Industries and applied in layers, with compacting with a 3-ton vibratory roller for each layer Also stated in our contracts the customer is responsible for building up the edges of the driveway to prevent undermining and collapsing asphalt on the edges of the pavement I can assure you that I did not threaten Mr***

There are no warranties for resurface work per the contract Wheel marks and damage form sharp objects placed on driveway, such as legs from chairs, are normal, asphalt is a flexible surface, not inflexible like concrete This is why we state in our contract that we are not responsible for damage that occurs from the consumers use of sharp object placed on their driveways.See the links below for information about asphalt from the Maine Asphalt Pavement Association; it explains about wheel marks and asphalt being soft for a few years Asphalt is a flexible surface, it is not concrete.***

I think I am having second thoughts. After my first experience and being in a small town, I do not feel that it is safe for me to go forward with this complaint. I just am angry that I paid for a driveway (from the company who is supposed to be the best), and that product definitely
has quality control issues. After *** came to the house and toed up to me, I don't think it would be wise or safe to take this any further. It is important that the Revdex.com knows so you can keep track. There is a problem and I know I am not a loony customer since the people I had check the driveway out all said pretty much the same thing

This email is in response to the above complaint.   The original paperwork was mailed to [redacted] on 1/**/2016 for the second time.  The first set of paperwork was mailed to her on 12/15/2015, to the same address as the second time.  She in turned sent back the paper work with half of...

the payment and the cemetery fee on 2/**/2016.  All inscriptions can take up to 3-6 months which she was told.  As all customers are told.  As of this date she still owes a balance of $175.00 which has to be paid before any inscriptions are done.   Because she is a repeat customer I did assign the work to the inscriber, as she said she would drop off the check for the balance.    The balance needs to be paid before the job can be completed.  I should have told the inscriber to hold this job, but as a courtesy to the [redacted] family, I have not.   The job will be completed when the full payment has been made. Thank You Cemetery Services

It doesn't look like Revdex.com can help with this issue. In the Cemetery Services contract that was given to me said nowhere that full amount was to be paid before the services get done. I gave them a check for half plus permit for cemetery. The rest would have been paid when services were done. What guarantee do I have that it will be done if I was to pay in full back in January. I never heard of any business that gets paid full before any services are done. The original contract that my dad had with them he put a deposit of 500.00 out of 2,295.00 and the rest he paid when services were done. It wasn't an issue then.I guess I have no choice than to pay the business the rest of the balance. [redacted]
