At the beginning of the day 5/13/2017, your account had a balance of $Your available balance was $based on purchases you had made that had not yet posted to your account You made three purchases and did not have available funds in your accountBecause you elected to have overdraft coverage on your account, these purchases were paid and you were assessed a fee for each transactionI do see that you called and spoke to one of our representativesWe explained that when you make a purchase with your debit card, merchants don’t always post them to your account immediatelyThe funds are held until the purchase transaction is posted to your account The same situation occurred on your account on 5/19/Numerous transaction were made on the account that day, some posting immediately and others creating a hold until the purchase posts to the accountOur representative choose not to refund additional fees as the credit union did not make an error and we had recently refunded fees and explained this to youWhen using your ledger to keep track of your balance, it is important to note each purchase as you make themThen you will have a better idea of what you actually have left to spendIn order to prevent additional situations like this which will cause more fees, I would be happy to remove your overdraft coverageWhen you make purchases in the future and funds are on hold for other purchases, the transaction will be declined and you will not be charged a feeIf you would like me to do that, please let me know As a courtesy to you I will refund one of the two fees charged to your account on the 19thPlease let me know if I can be of further assistance
