Have my former home for sale in Peoria and received a message this morning from my neighbor letting me know that the garage lights had been left onInsight inspected the property the day beforeSo I had my realtor go by the property this morningNot only to find the light in the garage left on but the service door to the backyard was left unlocked and wide open and could be seen as such when pulling up to the house through the garage door windows
Upon opening the house he noticed there was a musty smell and the sound of running waterHe found that the water in the master bathroom shower had been left running full blastNeedless to say is this how you would leave a vacant home after inspection? The entire bathroom was full of condensation and wet from leaving the water running My realtor had to go home and get towels and a latter to dry all the walls and ceiling and leave a fan running to hopefully dry it out
He also checked his lock box history and the insight inspector was the only one who has accessed the home since he did this morning
Careless and dangerous are the two words that come to mind for this company
These are no professionals

As the home seller, the buyer selected Insight Real Estate Inspection Services, LLC (IRES) for my home's inspection The report was thorough however there were blatant inaccuracies and the home inspector did not leave my home the way he found it Three examples found so far include (probably accidently) pulling and leaving hanging an electrical outlet off the wall, unscrewing a functional drain cover and leaving it to roll around in the tub, and leaving an outdoor BBQ island iron door open when it was previously properly shut Inaccuracies include claiming an obviously solid-core door as hollow-core, stating the two toilets in my home as loose and in need of tightening when if fact they are both securely fastened to the floor (perhaps he meant the toilet seats, which require a few turns with a Phillip's head), and the pool-inspector used (R & R Everclear) stated my pool lights don't work when in fact they doMy home is years old and though he should and did apply current code in his inspection, his boiler plate report does not take the time to explain this to the potential buyerTo be fair, the report did provide a lot of useful information about the state of my home and the issued will be addressedHowever, the blatant inaccuracies and the arguably disrespectful manner in which my home was left, were enough for the prospective buyer to pull his offer and incensing enough for me to write my first Revdex.com review
