Review: On May 17 I was dining at copabana south street in their outside seating. The server asked for an ID from us. We assumed this was to protect the restaurant from dine & dash customers outside. At the end of our meal the server brought our bill but not my drivers license. Having enjoyed a drink, we all forgot that I had provided my license and the server did not mention it or return it.

Once I realized what had happened I was miles away and do not live close. I called the restaurant to ask if they still had my license and to ask if they would mail it. The person that answered said they would call me back. They did not.

I called again a few days later and did speak with someone who acknowledged they had the license and took down my new address for mailing. It is now 6/2 and I have still not received my license.

I have called 3 additional times and pa the business will it return my calls. I have left detailed information.

A friend then eagled to the restaurant on Thursday, May 29 and was told by the owner that they could not find my license.

If it is the restaurant's policy to collect an ID from those dining Outside then the server should also return the ID at the end of the meal. I believe that this was a scam and that my license was sold or given to others. Why not ask instead for a credit card so that if the group dashed before paying the establishment could recover the cost.

In this situation it was my drivers license. It was not returned and now the restaurant claims they do not have it.Desired Settlement: I want the restaurant to pay for me to get a new license.

Review: I ordered dinner from Copabanana restaurant's online service at around 6:20. The food was to be delivered by 7:30. I paid online with my credit card. At around 7:43, I contacted the restaurant to determine the status of my order. I was told that the delivery had been out for a while and should be delivered soon. At 8:16 I contacted the restaurant to let them know that my food was over 45 min late, that I no longer wanted the food and that I wanted a refund. I was told by the manager, [redacted], that the delivery man and she tried calling several times but could not get through on the number I gave them and thus brought the food back to the restaurant. I explained that the number they had listed was not my number and that I had not listed the number they told me and again asked for a refund. Even if I has listed the wrong number, which I did not, they had my email address but faield to contact me.

This is not the first time I have had a problem with this restaurant's delivery. Several months ago I ordered online and not only recieved my food hours late, but I received food I did not order and did not recieve food I actually ordered even though I was charged for it. I tried complaining via the restaurant's online complaint link but never recieved any response. In light of the past issues I had with this restaurant, I told the manager that I did not list the wrong number, that they've gotten things wrong before and that the reciept I received said my order was to be picked up even though I ordered delivery, indicating that the mistake was probably theirs. She refused to refund my money, would not give me the name of a manager over her, gave me the owner's name and said I could not contact him until Friday and offered to send the food now which she admitted, upon my prompting, would be cold. This is the second time this place has essentially stolen my money and not given me the product. I want my money back. I will also add that the manager hung up on me during our call when I became upset because she was not listenning to, but instead talking over me.Desired Settlement: I want a refund. I got no food and was still charged. In what world is that just?

To Whom It May Concern:

In regards to the complaint that was placed on October 30th, 2013,1 would like to state my response. I am the manager of the Copabanana and I handled this phone call. The customer began the conversation very irate and defensive. She was upset because her delivery food had not arrived. The reason that the food did not arrive, was due to the fact that she provided us with the wrong contact information. The number that was provided was called several times by the delivery driver and then again several times by me. The information provided on the website at the time of order is sent directly to the computer system and we receive a print out with the details. I have provided a copy of the receipt with the information that was given to the restaurant by the customer. I did not issue a refund because we did everything correctly on our end. I told her that we could bring the food out to her and she flat out told that she did not want it. I never told the customer that her food was cold. She asked for the manager that is above me and I provided her with the name of the owner, as he is the only manager above me. He does not work every day, so I told her the next time he would be in which was Friday morning. As for me hanging up on the customer, that is completely false. She in fact began cursing at me and actually hung up on me. We will not issue a refund because we did what was supposed to be done. We waited for her to call the restaurant back, so that we could get the correct contact information. If you at the Revdex.com can contact the customer with the original information that she provided we will gladly issue the refund, but it was the wrong information.
