I am very Sorry that you have received a complaint from one of my customersIn considering this complaint, I must go back to the original phone call that I received from Mr [redacted] about his vehicle that was brokenI have included a copy of my original notesIt was a long conversation during which he mentioned kick down, limp rode, 4matic, no reverse, no move and every now and then a check engine lightFurther, he advised he had an axle, valve body and tie rod changedHe was to arrange for towing to my center.After several days, we had not received the carI called and offered a towWe towed the carUpon arrival, it did not startOver several days, wie charged the battery and checked the wiringBoth Mr [redacted] & [redacted] thought the security had set and would not allow statingAfter a phone call to [redacted] , it was mutually decided to tow the car to the dealer.My focus was to take the car to Mercedes, get it started and return it so that would could make a doganostic evaluation of repairs needed.Mercedes called and advised of a bad batteryI called Mr [redacted] to see if there was a warranty on the batteryWith no warranty, I agreed to have then install a new battery at my expenseThe next phone call from Mercedes was to inform Ile that they found a battery cracked that was caused by a broken drive shaft flopping around and hitting the starterI ordered a starter and was prepared to tow the vehicle back here to get it running and starting So that We could diagnose the repair problemAbout this - same timeMr [redacted] had Contacted Mercedes and received the same information I hadHe demanded his car be returnedThere was no changing his mindThe towed his car jack at [redacted] expense.Copies of the [redacted] from Mercedes and a starter are enclosed.I have paid several to vis, a new battery and a starter and did not even get to check the car and diagnose the problemMercedes reports the drive shaft and front differential have failed [redacted] still have the starter and am willing to have a repair shop install the starter for Mr***.I feel the original problem with this car was the front differential and drive shaftI do not feel I am liable to repair his original problems at Iny expense.Sincerely , [redacted] ***, Owner
