Copart Auto Auction

Review: I recently bought a car on the auction and I stopped buy the auction to pay for it on September 23, 2013 between one and three oclock. The car I bought was in a different state than where I live so I was trying to figure out what state the car was in. English is my second language so when I was asking the woman helping me I was talking with an accent, she was not in the mood. She told me to go to a computer and said that one of them doesn't worked so she pointed to the other one and I went to it. I walked through a little door and walked up to the computer just to her the manager whistle at me and shake with his head that I'm not allowed to be there because that is an employees computer only. I didn't know that it was employes only because the door was half way open and I just opened the rest and walked through. I am very unhappy with how they treated me as their customer. They were really rude and disrespectful especially when the manager whistled at me. It was very unprofessional of the manager to whistle at me like that. I am no the first person that came in here and was treated poorly by the manager and workers, I know a few people who know English as their second language and once they came here they were treated bad by the employees. Why would the employees treat the customers good when the manager himself is very disrespectful to the customers.Desired Settlement: Teach the employees to be respectful to the customers. Welcome customers with a smile and not treat us poorly.

The day of this incident my CSR (customer service representative) was working with [redacted] to

help with a vehicle he bid on. She informed him that he could use the computer on our counter which

has our website on it. He would have to find the lot number which we use as a reference, so we could

help him (there is only one computer facing the customer side of the counter).

I was in my office on the phone adjacent to the door entering the office area. That’s when I saw [redacted]

walk behind our counter and start to type on our system computer. I tried to get him to notice me, so I

could direct him back to the customer side of the counter. After a moment and still on the phone I did

whistle, but just to get his attention and to direct him back to the other side of the counter.

There may have been a bit of a language barrier, but the Russian, Ukraine and Mexican immigrants

make up a large segment of our buyer base and we are accustom to working with them and grateful for

their business.

We were able to give him all the information that he needed along with some training on what to look

for in the future. I believe that [redacted] was frustrated with himself that he didn’t realize that the car

he bid on was in a different location. I also understand that I could have handled getting his attention

differently, but have never had anyone just walk into our office before either.

I was frustrated about location of my vehicle and also I was frustrated of the costumer service Copart company gave to me. I know I'am not only one who has bad experience whit Copart costumer service, and I hope on the future it's not going to happen again. I believe the Copart manager will treat his costumers with respect and professionalism even though English their second language.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
