This matter is an issue that needs to be addressed by the customer's insurance companyPer our legal counsel, we had no knowledge of the disconnected shift cable and did not act negligentlyThe customer's vehicle could have seriously injured our technician if the vehicle was in drive instead of reverseAs a result, they must go through their insurance on this as Copeland Chevrolet did not act negligentlyIn addition, the customer's vehicle is a salvage title carThe total value of the vehicle in prior to the accident is about $As a gesture of goodwill, we will help the customer with tratowards a new or pre-owned vehicle at Copeland ChevroletOur traallowance will be adjusted to prior to damage.Please have the customer contact me via e-mail to setup an appointment [redacted]

This response is PR and a lieCopeland Chevrolet lied to me multiple times as the deal was signedThey pretended they were accepting my leased vehicle as a trade in when all they did was take my car, and bring it to the lease dealership and hand it over leaving me to pay for all the liabilityBecause of this I had no ability to have the opportunity to handle the liability outside the dealership The sales tactics used by Copeland Chevrolet are setup to take advantage of people and illegal Regards,

Excess Wear and Tear on this lease termination was determined by *** MotorsThe customer must contact themOur agreement did not include any excess wear and tear per the attached purchase and sale agreement. As see the PRIOR LEASE BALANCE is clearly disclosed

We are very sorry that you feel this wayI looked into this with both individuals involved and it was never noted or discussed during the negotiation to pay for excess wear and use on your prior lease, furthermore we would not have any way to know what your lease company was going to charge you
Once the vehicle was returned the lease company inspects it and has their own calculation for excess wear and tear. It is impossible to include excess wear and tear on any new leaseIn fact, it is never done by any dealership ever. It is determined only after the vehicle is inspected by the lease companyAlso, the excess wear and tear was caused by the customer's use of the vehicle during the lease. We pride ourselves on being upfront and honest and documenting everythingI’m not sure if there was a misunderstanding but we did pay the remaining payments as discussed, noted and documented on signed agreements. You should be taking up your concern for excess wear and use charges with your prior lease companyAgain we apologize that you are not happy and hope this does not take away from the great deal you did receive

This is a lie and a sales tactic. I asked [redacted] 5 times that once I turn my vehicle in I am not responsible for liability. He agreed over and over so that I would sign on the dotted line. If Copeland is stating they are not lying, then there is clearly a communication problem with their salesman.
