We met with Copper Basin (owners: Aeron *** & Phillip ***) to build our dream home & it was a complete NIGHTMARE !
I shiver to think anyone else will ever have to go through what we went through !
We were fooled at first with their hospitality but as soon as we broke ground everything went sourWe are not hard to please & this is our 3rd home to build from the ground upWe had zero issues with the first builders, great experienceCopper Basin was impossible to deal with & ruined the entire homebuilding experienceThey robbed us financially, left us with an unfinished home, & a home we will not be retiring in as once dreamed ofWe ended up paying way over what we were quoted & the cheapest of materials were used on everythingThe A/C company has been out over times for repairs & we are still having issues with A/C & heating, my daughter has to get allergy shots every week now due to the humidity & mold spores caused by 70-80% humidity in our home due to all A/C units being oversizedHad to get the Texas State Investigator involvedA broken A/C unit was installed from the beginning which leads us to believe it was refurbished to begin withPhillip & Aeron lied to us on many occasions & gouged us on every item that we went through them forIf we chose to sub out on any item/service, those items disappeared or were sabotagedWe were told we would be in our home in months no matter what, it was over a year !
We hired a 3rd party inspector to inspect our home & he had pages of errors, code violations, & rejected itemsPhillip, an owner at Copper Basin, told me "there is no code police so I do not have to repair any violations"Copper Basin refused to put a carbon monoxide detector in our home until we did all the leg work to prove it was requiredThey also installed one of our outside doors on backwards as well as our neighbors home, where burglars can just pop off hinges from outside, another code violationWe had to reverse at our expensePhillip also told me to put super glue in my door locks that keep backing outThe list goes on forever so we have been forced to take legal actionWe have spoken to several neighbors & they had the same nightmare experienceVery sad but we would be shocked if this home last 5-years due to mold & mildew caused by extremely high humidityI pray for anyone who has built with Copper Basin or intends to build with them, my hearts breaks for you !
