Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Concerning my complaint with Copperhead Contracting, LLC (ID # [redacted] ) #They were not truthful with their response to you I could go through it all but lets just say that the extended lead ***e which they said was unacceptable to me was a week lead ***e We fully expected that I waited over months and received nothing They never placed an order with any their source It was lying on top of lying.#The amount of the refund check they sent does square with the es***ates they provided last August They kept in excess of $1,more than they should have.#The siding job that they started six months ago in December is not complete and it is already falling off the house I have emailed them requesting the contact information for the sub contractor they used but have not heard back from them which is very typicalI was hoping that maybe their sub will warrant his work I do understand that I never had any agreement with them so I not starting a complaint against the subI am only hoping to contact him.The Complaint Hub system says “ ..the business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer remains dissatisfied.” That is an understatement Yes they partiallyaddressed some of the issues As for the consumer remains dissatisfied, that just not seem strong enough for what my wife and I have through and are still going through Regards, [redacted]

Tell us why here...We were unable to start work as previously discussed with homeowner on April for the following reasons: As we have discussed with the homeowner, we had ordered the windows, however the company we ordered from unfortunately had an extended lead ***e that was not acceptableWe at that point cancelled that order and went to another company with a shorter lead ***eHowever, the price exceeded the amount paid by the carrierWe agreed to still do the project at a loss providing we were able to get the additional funds as the company required a deposit in order to place the window orderWe have had correspondence since his response on April 6th to the Revdex.comOur agreement with the homeowner was to refund for work not doingOur policy is to refund within a day periodWe are refunding $5,which will be sent by check prior to May to the homeownerWe, as a company, regret that we were unable to come to a more suitable resolution on this project

I did not accept the response from the business because it is not factual There response, all six sentences, is printed in italics I have responses for each one.MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:We gave customer a start date of April 9, for work to be startedActually the contract was signed in August of and we were told they would start in October of 2016. They needed to order windows & skykights which they did do We have two years to complete this work per contract.Their contract says nothing about years other that they warrant their work for a two year period upon completion. Also why would anyone wait wait years to fix a roof that is leaking? We have discussed this with customer on several occasions. Then why do I have multiple emails, text messages, phone calls, and even a face to face meeting that was not responded to We have already completed siding portionThey did start - it was not completed. We also needed ***e to negotiate with customers insurance company on behalf of homeownerChubb Insurance has been wonderfullThere was considerable damage to other structures and personal property. They have covered all of those. that was last fall. Not sure how much ***e Copperhead needs to negotiate but we had no troubleThe storm happened some days ago. Chubb Insurance was on the scene very quickly. We have been in contact with customer throughout. As I mentioned above I have many attempts at communications in various forms that they have not answered. I did get an email this week however They said they needed another $10,so they could order materials Thats what they told us months ago.much wrong on five of the six sentences Hopefully something happens on sentence #and it does become wrong also. This is why I did not accept their response

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in
reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The roof was done, carelesslySo, an inspector is required to make sure there is no damageSome of the shingles are damaged or broken during installationUntil the home has been thoroughly inspected, this issue is not resolvedAlso the gutters are about a foot to long and not cut to the right sizeThere has been damage to interior chandeliers that have not been compensated forThe fascia trim is bent and the chimney is not properly coveredTherefore this job is not up to code and we will see what the inspector has too say as wellWe could have structural damage to rooof supports and we could have a leak issue if chimney is not properly covered

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Concerning my complaint with Copperhead Contracting, LLC.  (ID #[redacted])  #1 They were not truthful with their response to you.  I could go through it all but lets just say that the extended lead [redacted]e which they said was unacceptable to me was a 7 week lead [redacted]e.  We fully expected that.  I waited over 7 months and received nothing.   They never placed an order with any their source.  It was lying on top of lying.#2 The amount of the refund check they sent does square with the es[redacted]ates they provided last August.  They kept in excess of $1,000.00 more than they should have.#3 The siding job that they started six months ago in December is not complete and it is already falling off the house.  I have emailed them requesting the contact information for the sub contractor they used but have not heard back from them which is very typical. I was hoping that maybe their sub will warrant his work.  I do understand that I never had any agreement with them so I not starting a complaint against the sub. Tell us why here...We were unable to start work as previously discussed with homeowner on April 9 for the following reasons:  As we have discussed with the homeowner, we had ordered the windows, however the company we ordered from unfortunately had an extended lead [redacted]e that was not acceptable. We at that point cancelled that order and went to another company with a shorter lead [redacted]e. However,  the price exceeded the amount paid by the carrier. We agreed to still do the project at a loss providing we were able to get the additional funds as the company required a deposit in order to place the window order. We have had correspondence since his response on April 6th to the Revdex.com. Our agreement with the homeowner was to refund for work not doing. Our policy is to refund within a 30 day period. We are refunding $5,895.00 which will be sent by check prior to May 20 to the homeowner. We, as a company, regret that we were unable to come to a more suitable resolution on this project.

The inspector is scheduled to come look at the house tomorrow. However, we have noticed that the chimney is leaking and thus water/rain is getting to the inside of the fireplace. This is a major issue and will need to be addressed immediately.

We have politely offered homeowner the number of inspector to re assure we have completed work properly and to code.  We do have a two year workmanship warranty as well that covers any of these concerns.  Per our contract, which the homeowner signed, Copperhead Contracting is not responsible for pre existing construction deficiencies that mainifest during the construction process.  Homeowner was instructed verbally as well that there is a possibilty that items loosely attached to a wall and or ceiling may fall during the construction process. It was suggested to homeowner at this time to remove any of the items to safety pre construction. Per homeowner, there were a few pieces of a chandelier that they state they believe fell off the chandelier during construction. As they signed the contract AND were pre warned of all precautions, Copperhead Contracting is not liable for this damage, However, we DID offer out of kindness to take $200 off of the final invoice for the pieces that become detached. The gutters are the appropriate length for the home. The gutters are installed correctly and all materials used are the proper materials.  The material the homeowner was unsatisfied with, which was referred to as fascia, is in fact a piece of drip edge. We have already scheduled this item to be re done to home owners satisfaction.  This item has already been addressed and completed today.  When a representative from Copperhead was on the job site today, the homeowner instructed them to please face nail this piece of drip edge and representative did so to exact instructions per homeowner.
