This is in response to your letter dated April 5th regarding Mr ***,s complainHe rented the car from us 2-18-at approximately 5pm and was supposed to return same nightThe car was not returned we try to contact him, but his phone was offWe found out on 2-20-that the car has been impounded in Santa Rosa and made appropriate steps to get the car outWe contacted his mother and was told that he is in jail and have no idea when he will be releasedShe also told us that the car is going to be repossessed by finance company and we can do whatever to get our money (meaning putting lien on car)The charges Mr [redacted] owes for rental, impound and service charges are $plus lien fee of $plus storage @65/dayTotal of which is going to be over $We offered him fair settlement of $at the time he called after his release, but instead he started bad language and try to threaten mePlease advise [redacted] ***

I am rejecting this response because: it is as far as me threatening him he harrassed my mother when he called her he would say do you have any money for me .at first he would accept $to get car back I never got a attitude with *** I always kept it professional I ask him for a copy of my rental contract and he will not send me a copy of it I asked *** if I could give a partial payment of $and make payment to him because I need my car for my job which is to take my mother to Dr appointment she is a cancer patient that depends on me to drive her around I feel there is something unusual business acts conducted by ca auto rental there is no business name on outside of building or proper car rental agreement signs that need to be posted in the rental office I would like to request a copy of my rental agreement because I never signed a contract that said he can hold my personal vehicle
