Cordell Law, LLP handles business under a mission statementThe service I received from Michelle Ferreri was lazy, unprofessional and completely apathetic to my needs I chose Cordell because I am a father who's marriage of years was ending and it was not my decisionI was presented divorce paper and an offer from my ex wife's lawyerI brought this information to my consultation meetingI was clear about my financial situation and that I wanted to keep this to a minimum and if she thinks the deal presented to me looks good After paying for the consultation and the retainerI gathered bank statements and information and brought to Michelle for the caseShortly before trial my retainer ran out and I replenished itIn total we worked (and I say we because I did all of the leg work) month and a half The day before trial I checked my retainer balance and had what I thought was plenty to get me through the last dayMichelle contacts me with our offerIt was for more money than what my ex was asking for! I voiced my frustration and disapprovalI explained that I came to her to see if the deal was goodI paid double her retainer and the consultation and the day before trial she tells me, "well they gave you a good deal" It gets worseSo at that point I realize Michelle is just lazy and not very good at her job and I made the mistake of hiring herTwo days after court I receive a bill from CordellI explained to them that I still had money on my retainer and it should have been enough to get me through the last dayHowever, this bill was more than yet a third retainer, and for what? The best part isThe final bill was for Michelle's day in court and I was informed by Cordell that have to pay for when Michelle sits in traffic or when she might want to stop off somewhereOne day was more than the cost of their retainer Cordell and Michelle Ferreri never seemed to be on my side at any point and completely insensitive to my needsHowever, Cordell and Michelle Ferreri are very belligerent when it comes to collecting money they did not earn

Miss Cassie Screngi was assigned by her supervisor to represent me in my divorce case in against my ex-wife who filed for legal separation to start with I found that she was a good listener We discussed how we should proceed with this case I wanted to sue my ex-wife for divorce countering her legal separation suit I also suggested that I wanted to settle this case through mediation and asked her to recommend a good mediator She brought in an excellent mediator, a retired Judge, MrCox I also wanted to write a brief to MrCox before the mediation to give him a good picture of the situation with the marriage, finances, etc Miss Screngi helped me by giving me a sample of such a brief My brief was reviewed by Miss Screngi and handed to MrCox Once we started the negotiation process, it took only hours to reach an agreement followed by the divorce MrCox later told me that my brief was instrumental in getting the speedy conclusion to the case The bottom line is that Miss Screngi listened to me carefully and supported and advised me through out the process rather than telling me what to do She was a classic example of a good Lawyer serving exactly how they are expected I expect her to become a very successful Lawyer

Our son was getting a divorce and thought Cordell and Cordell who advertises to represent men and their interests would be a good choice
That was a huge mistakeHis attorney, young woman, misrepresented our son and did not prepare him properly for any defense against accusations that were untruthfulShe did not believe him from the beginningHer inexperience was very evidentWe spent money that we feel was a waste
She was very closed minded and and dismissive of any comments our son or we would make We ended up hiring a male attorney who had years of experienceWhat an eye-openerIt was evident that the attorney at Cordell and Cordell could care less about our son and was only concerned about billing hours
The money we spent was a total waste and if there was anyway to get some of that back would be more than willing to pursue that Their advertising is a total misrepresentation of what they do

In January 2016, I scheduled an appointment with Dan regarding changing the current child custody order that was in place regarding my son, Bentley, and his motherWe discussed how the current order was not only poorly written but also problematic to both parties and the childFor instance, there were no specific pick up or drop off times stated and it left a lot of confusion and misinterpretationI was hoping that he could help me clear the confusion and find a more equitable solution for both me and Bentley’s motherI told Dan I would like to modify the order in the following ways:
• 50/custody with my son, one week on and one week off• Forgive all contempt’s that I have against her, and her against me so we can restart this co-parenting and make it a positive environment for our son• Revise child support my son’s mother’s income went up from 24k-36k
The actual results were completely different:
• Less frequent child visits
• Increased child support
• days of jail time
• year probation
• Publicly humiliated by the judge, who told the court that I have zero credibility, only care about myself and my needs, and that my fiancé and her family are not my son’s family and shouldn’t try to be• Terrible precedent for future proceedings
• Additional attorney fees and more court
• If mother files any contempt’s within year of probation I get automatic days in jail, plus whatever the judge decides
• The judge’s parting message to me was “You have zero credibility,” and “you are lucky your son’s mother allows you to spend time with him,” and “your son is better off in day care than in your custody.”
• Criminal record
Dan’s wreckless counsel, carelessness judgements, and gross negligence made in my behalf resulted in contempt charges which landed me in jail for days, a year of probation, $3,in fees to opposing council, and a precedence for future hearings I feel Dan did not advocate for me, nor advise me wellHe was ill prepared in his intelligent devotion to excellence and seemed to lack passion for me and my caseAll I wanted was a more equitable situation for me and my sonI was not trying to be malicious or meanI am worse off now than when I hired Dan and the firm of Cordell & Cordell to represent meA bad situation was made even worse with even more debt and legal expenses to comeI do not feel I received “passionate and intelligent devotion to excellence.” as there website states MrLipsitz was not devoted to my case, my suggestions, or any form of service or excellenceBecause of my relationship with Mr*** *** *** * *** I am worse off than when I started, in every conceivable wayWould strongly recommend NOT using this firm and would NEVER recommend it to anyone fighting for there fathers rights!
