Core Athletic Club

I joined the club in April 2019, their *** sold me a membership at an annual rate and that I could discontinue at any point no fee. By June 2019, I realized they were not offering the classes I desired and I went in to the gym spoke with *** and discontinued my membership. June, my account is drafted in full of which I went back to the gym spoke with ***, spoke with *** the owner via email and was refunded the errant draft in full.

Jan 2020 I get a notice from a collections agency that I am past due.
I try to contact the number provided online of ***, a cell phone of which I have left 4 voicemails on that were never returned. February 7, 2020, I enter the gym to find a sales attendant ***. He listens to my complaint and attempts to call *** the owner to discuss my membership as it in their system that *** refunded me in July 2019.

So I ask ***, that if in July 2019 your owner is refunding me in full an errant draft and told me my account was discontinued, why would I assume there would subsequent drafts? *** explained that he understands my issue and that 100% refund is in order, but he will likely not get that for me. He offered me a smaller refund as he explained that in July my fee should have dropped to $58 for inactivity, but I would be charged for a year. He also stated he would from today, Feb 7, 2020 suspend my account as it is not what I knowingly entered!! He stated he would talk to *** and get back to me by 5 pm.

Today, Feb 13, I call the gym and speak with *** who tells me I owe the remainder of the year contract and I will get no refund. I asked him to have *** contact as he continues to not contact me.

This is not proper business, nor customer service!! I am owed a full refund based on the action of this owner's full refund in July of 2019, or failing to detail my contract. I was charged $90.93 in error from July 2019-Nov 2019 for a total of $454.65 and the month of Dec 2019 for the amount of $114.43, making a grand total of $569.08
