Core Helicopters

Review: I purchased a Groupon for an introductory flight with Core Helicopter and scheduled the date and time with them on Sunday, June 28th. I sat through the required hour long FAA briefing and then paid for the upgrades they offered. At the time we were all getting ready to go on our flights, we were informed that we all had to go back in the office and get on the scale to be weighed. Out of the group of 8, two of us, including myself were over the weight limit. We were then informed that since we were over the weight limit, we would then have to use the bigger helicopter and that would be an additional charge of $140 on top of the original $125 cost and the $113 for upgrades. I felt pressured into handing over the additional cost but thought otherwise. I understand that there are restrictions to a helicopter that has only so much power and that you have to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for safety reasons, however it was not clearly posted anywhere that the additional cost would be $140, the Groupon states that their "may" be an additional charge. I told the gentleman that I would not pay the additional cost and I would like a refund. I was refunded the purchased extras right away but was told that I could not get a refund of my Groupon cost. The only choice I was given was to lose weight and come back or come up with the required additional cost by the time the coupon expires at the end of August. It was kind of a humiliating experience. They should clearly state that there WILL be an additional charge and the charge would be $140, not there "may" be a charge. If I had known of the additional I would not have spent the day driving there only to leave disappointed.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the original Groupon amount of $125 and have Core Helicopter clearly state in writing the additional $140 charge for those who exceed the weight limit before booking their flight lesson.
